This FM recording catches Jazz Legend Jean-Luc Ponty early in his solo career. This is some awesome Jazz Fusion here so my often over used phrase of highly recommended is going to be applied here as well. If you've never listened to Jean-Luc Ponty before this is a perfect bootleg to get an idea of his early music. Jean-Luc wears his musical influences on his sleeve at this time of his career. His compositions echoing his musical lessons during his tenure with Frank Zappa and Mahavishnu Orchestra.

  1. Time for a comment - a year later - just to note that this year of 1975, Tom Fowler was playing bass with Zappa and Beefheart during the Bongo Fury tour and album ... looking forward to getting this one!

    Cheers, Dave Sez.
