justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to even out some volume issues and re-edit a couple track marks. No EQ, or nooise reduction was used. The waves were encoded to MP3 320kbps due to the DVD having lossy audio.

The thing I find most interesting from this recording is the element that the Chicago Horn Section adds to the REO Speedwagon songs performed during the encore when all members of both groups are on stage.

Heavy Metal Roots & Branches Post #1

This compilation is made up of 2  King Biscuit Flower Hour performances from Twisted Sister's days on top of the Heavy Metal World. Twisted Sister started off as a more Glam Rock band, then Dee Snider joined bringing a heavy Alice Cooper influence to the song writing. Twisted Sister soon gained popularity as the New Wave w Of British Heavy Metal was causing stirs in the underground. Twisted Sister's harder edge and non pretty boy image separated them from the rising Hair/Glam Metal scene, making them more popular with the "True Metal" crowd. The band broke up after taking a more commercial turn after pressure from their record label, but reunited in the 2000's. We lost A.J. Pero March 20, 2015 at the age of 55 from a heart attack. Twisted Sister have disbanded after a farewell tour dubbed "40 And Fuck It", Dee Snyder is working on several solo projects. The band is sited as an influence by numerous Metal Artists of all genres.
