tracks 16-32 Ambrosia

justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to adjust the volume and re-edit some track marks. No EQ or noise reduction was used. I seperated all the tunings and false starts from each track so that you could listen to just the songs if you so wish. I encoded the waves to MP3 320kbps because the DVD had lossy audio.

This DVD is said to be dress rehearsals for Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, and seems so with there being no real audience. It is known that some bands were filmed with no audience present and then the audience was edited in later. This was confirmed by Kansas, who were on Kirshner Records. The band released their Rock Concert performance with their Sail On Box Set and talked about the filming in the intro to the DVD footage. So this could actually be a show taping. At the end of the last track the director thanks Ambrosia then tells the crew to prep the stage for John Cougar as the audio fades. They retake a few songs because of technical difficulties, if it was a dress rehearsal they wouldn't need a retake of  Your The Only Woman because of a faulty drum mic. So I really think this is an actual taping that the audience will be dubbed in. Either way it's a pretty cool glimpse behind the scenes of Don Kishner's Rock Concert.

Wish I had the lossless version of this one to share with you, it's such a great show! Stanley Clarke's playing in the 20 minute Vulcan Worlds is enough to make a lot of bass players lay the instrument done and walk away! The band is in fine form, this is an absolute must have recording (yep I know I say that a lot)

Rosebud pick another awesome one here. A soundboard recording from Brian Tichy's time behind the drum kit, with Joe Holmes on guitar and a pre-Metallica Robert Trujillo on bass. This line-up only lasted till the end of  the Ozzfest 2000 Tour. Mike Bordin would return on drums while Zakk Wylde would return on guitar.

There are 28 bootlegs from Ozzy Osbourne on The New JDP including solo and Black Sabbath recordings available here. Rosebud has personally chosen over 150 bootlegs to share on The New JDP which are available here

It's been a little while since I posted some Opeth, September 2016 as a matter of fact. Too long for  a band that I call one of my All Time Favorite Must Have On A Dessert Island Bands. Opeth has continued to progress musically and challenge their core audience with every release. The band has completely dropped the Death Metal vocals from their studio albums since 2011's Heritage. The music itself has gotten more Progressive while still being aggressive. Live Opeth still plays their classic songs with the Death Metal influences intact. Some fans have voiced displeasure that the band has continued to progress in this manner while the band still has a rabid (and growing) following.

This is Opeth bootleg number 12 on The New JDP more quality recordings are available here

justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to re-edit a couple track marks, no EQ, noise reduction or re-mixing was done. The vocals on this recording are heavily reverberating through out the show, like the soundman just can't fight the echo. Fans will have no problem enjoying listening to this last ever Motörhead gig in Spain.
