justdave's notes:
I used Goldwave to convert the MPEG4 to a Wave 16bit/44,1khz. I then used Goldwave to edit the tracks. No noise reduction, EQ, or remastering was done to the recording. The video had lossy audio so it was encoded to MP3 320kbps using Trader's Little Helper. I edited the show as it was broadcast, a continuous 5 hour broadcast. If you want to burn CDs you will have to find the right spots to edit your CD1, CD2 etc.

Taylor Hawkins, drummer for The Foo Fighters, died March 25, 2022. Early toxicology reports suggest that a drug overdose may be the cause, but no official ruling has been made as of this date. The band was scheduled to play the Estéreo Picnic Festival in Bogotá, Colombia but had to cancel. The stage was turned into a candle light vigil.

This recording is from show 1 of 2 shows planned to honor Taylor. The 2nd was on September 27 in Los Angeles, California. It's a great show with a lot of different performers, some legendary, some not quite there but on their way. Check out Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age/Kyuss/Them Crooked Vultures fame singing David Bowie's "Let's Dance" and Sir Elton John's "Good-bye Yellow Brick Road" and nail it! Chevy Metal & Ke$ha deliver a great version of T. Rex's "Children Of The Revolution". Brian Johnson & Lars Ulrich jam out some AC/DC classics. Geddy Lee & Alex Lifeson using 2 different drummers to pull off some Rush tracks. Sir Paul McCartney steps up with Chrisse Hynde and deliver some Beatles while Brian May and Roger Taylor give us a bit of Queen.

I hope everyone enjoys this, it took a lot of work to get it together. Not sure if there are any other audio rips of this show out yet. T.U.B.E. offers the MPEG4 that I made the audio rip from, it's actually where I downloaded it. It's kind of a big file set, so It has been separated into 2 parts which can be opened separately.

Nice Powerage era FM Broadcast that seems to have been hidden for a little while and is somewhat newer to circulation (at least when it originally surfaced a few months ago). Just like always with AC/DC you know what your going to get. One hell of a show from 5 guys who live for playing their patented blend of Hard Rock & Metal.

This is the first in what shall be several postings to pay tribute to Malcolm Young who passed away at the age of 64, November 18, 2017 after a long bout of ill heath.

justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to adjust the volume, re-edit some track marks, and add fade in/fade out at the beginning and end of the recording. No noise reduction or EQ was used. I encoded the waves to MP3 320kbps because the DVD had lossy audio.

The Intro track is actually a backstage clip of Angus and Malcolm warming up on their guitars. The cover art says this is the full show, but it's obvious that it's not. The average set list for The Flick Of The Switch Tour was as follows:

Guns for Hire
Shoot to Thrill
Sin City
This House is on Fire
Back in Black
Bad Boy Boogie
Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution
Flick of the Switch
Hells Bells

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

This is a great collection. The cover says it is the complete collection of the Bon Scott era soundboards. I don't know if that is quite true or not but it is a hell of a package. Some of the tracks listed on the artwork are not present. I'm not sure if the bootleg was actually like that (some boots are) or if the original uploader left them off for some reason (there was no explanation in the file set). When I received this package all the CD's were each in a single file. I had to decode them and split the tracks. Some of the files had gaps in between tracks so those were removed as well. A few of the CD's were lossy based so I am only hosting this Box Set in MP3 320kbps. I'm also not hosting the DVD that was included in the box set. Half of the content on the DVD was official material so the original up-loader removed it. What was left was a cobbled together mess of the Golders Green Hippodrome performance. I have a much better version of that video that I will upload the audio from.

What you do get is a great collection of Bon Scott era AC/DC. So much music that you won't be able to listen to it all in one day...Well maybe you could but most people don't sit through 13 plus hours of one band's music. This is a very comprehensive collection even with out the missing tracks so enjoy my fellow AC/DC fanatics.

As you can imagine a 13 CD box set is a rather large file set so I have split them into 5 parts, all 5 parts needed to unzip.

Westwood One edited together some classic AC/DC broadcasts to make this tribute to Bon Scott in 1996. The band was prepping the Bonfire boxset at the time, their first archival release and a tribute to fallen lead vocalist Bon Scott.
