Recording Notes:
- LP was professionally cleaned before purchase.
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.
- LP cleaned with the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaning System prior to LP playback.
- A Zerostat Positive Ion gun was used prior to LP playback.
- Raw transfer: EQ off, treble and bass levels set at +/-zero for most accurate sound of LP.
- The Vocopro CDR-1000PRO processes at 24bit/44,1khz then records in 16bit/44,1.
- Waves can confused Traders Little Helper so spectral of raw master wave is included.
- Recorder can be tempermental with CD-rs multiple discs used to minimize bad discs.
- EAC Log given for each CD-r ripped.

Editing Notes:
- Preservation being key the show was encoded complete with commercials & voice overs.
- Commercials and voice overs index so they can be omitted if so desired.
- Manually declicked in Goldwave.
- Track 28 Duration commercial had bad skip, replaced with Track 16 Duration commercial.
- Some vinyl noises may still be audible, de-click was done to make listening comfortable not sterile.

Other Notes:
- Westwood One put the show promo 1st on the LP, so that's where it's left.
- Westwood One used a much heavier grain vinyl for the Westwood One Presents shows than others.
- Westwood One packed over 55 minutes onto 1 LP which makes for close grooves - see above comment
- Show date identified by comparing to an FM broadcast recording I have on my hard drive.
- There is a longer FM broadcast recording in circulation of this concert.

Now here is a rarity! There are barely any Hank Williams Jr shows on the net let alone a Pre-FM!! This is the next in line of the Westwood One shows Rosebud bought me for Christmas. I'm really proud to have found this one on Ebay. Even more proud of my Rosebud for buying it for me! Now it's available to you as well. I have an MP3 encoded FM broadcast recording I got from Hear Rock City a few years back on an older site. It is the FM broadcast I mention in my notes above. I don't know if they have it posted at the new site or not. At that time they were the only blog that had any Hank Williams Jr at all...

Bocephus kicking ass like only he can. I was kicked out of the one and only Hank Williams Jr. show that attended. It was Molly Hatchet, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Charlie Daniels Band, and Hank Williams Jr at Pine Knob Amphitheater in Clarkston Michigan. When Hank started playing "Family Tradition" Rosebud and I fired up a joint of some really good green.Halfway through the joint I have a cop walk up behind me and say "I'm not going to arrest you but you are going to have to leave". That was the only Country Music show I ever got Rosebud to attend.

It's been a little while since we posted any Country Music and it just so happens I had a taste for some Outlaw Country last night. Around the time of this recording Hank Williams Jr.'s star was burning as bright as the end of a home grown roll in the country moonlight. Hank was crossing over into the mainstream quite a lot because Southern Rock was huge on Album Rock Radio stations. Before I retired I had this young redneck kid working for me that I really liked (and I say redneck having a family that came from Kentucky to Detroit for Auto assembly work so no hate). His parents named him Sawyer as in Tom Sawyer. He hated it. With no middle name to go by he started calling himself Bubba (truth!). He couldn't understand that Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, Pure Prarie League, and Hank Williams Jr wasn't played on Country Radio. The same way others his age can't imagine why they would be played on Rock Radio. So anyway here is a great look at Bocephus when even my Grandmother knew who he was.

I got this from BigO a while back and they haven't brought it back in a while. This is a great with some classic Country Music legends. Jerry Reed singing "She Got The Goldmine, I Got The Shaft" in the same broadcast as Ricky Scaggs singing "Heartbroke".  Hank Williams Jr. singing "Country Boy Can Survive" in the same broadcast as The Oak Ridge Boys singing "Bobby Sue". Did I mention Don Williams, T.G. Sheppard, Alabama and David Frizzel....yeah if you're into classic Country Music you need this.
