Nice rare item here, a soundboard from Concrete Blonde during their most successful period. The bands Bloodletting LP had been certified Gold and the single "Joey" had spent a full 21 weeks on the Billboard Top 100, peaking at #19. The band never was able to hit that commercial success again but are still active this day playing gigs and recording music.

For our next Women Who Rock post we have another kick ass FM broadcast from Concrete Blonde. Johnette Napolitano can Rock with the best of them. A nice choice of cover tracks are thrown into the mix, The Who's "Bargain", Agent Orange's "Bloodstains", Jimi Hendrix's "Castles Made Of Sand" (KILLER!! justdave's notes:
I compiled this from different bootlegs in my collection. Quite a few bands have covered Jimi Hendix songs over the years. My choices are not meant to represent the best of these cover versions just ones that I like. The surprises out of the recordings showcased here would have to be Concrete Blonde's version of "Castles Made Of Sand" or Earth, Wind & Fire's cover of "Machine Gun". Some sources were lossy and some were not so I encoded everything to MP3 320kbps. All recordings were of soundboard quality (ie Pre-FM, FM & Soundboard). I tried to adjust the volume of the tracks so they were more uniform using Goldwave.

Hope you enjoy it, I have a couple similar projects in the works.
