Sorry For The Lengthy Wait For New Posts

Sorry about the long wait between posts. I have been a little distracted since my Mom & Dad, My younger brother, his wife and their son were all diagnosed with covid-19. My Mother has recuperated well. My brother, his wife and son all are feeling better as well. My Father is not bouncing back and has been i and out of hospital 4 times. My Father is a 72 year old Veteran of The Viet Nam - American War. He was in the 1st Armored Division, clearing vegetation. My Father was exposed to Agent Orange doing his job there. He suffers from all kinds of ailments from this exposure. The least of which is glowing purple spots on his body under a black light. He has non-Hodgkin lymphoma and Parkinson's  disease also attributed to his exposure. He is now covid-19 free but it has brought along a lot of lingering complications due to his other illnesses. I use this blog as an escape of the real world sometimes so  I'll continue making posts but they may be a little sporadic for now.

I downloaded this years ago, upon first listen I noticed gaps between songs. I have gone through and removed all the gaps and one drop-out. I re-encoded the waves back to MP3.

As we pay Tribute To Rosebud's Favorite Singers we have to included her favorite Country Music singer John Anderson. When Rosebud and I first began to see each other she new very little about Country Music. She new her Dad loved Merle Haggard but couldn't tell Alabama from Willie Nelson. The 1st time I got any reaction out of her about a Country Artist was when I played John Anderson's Seminole Wind album. She listened along with me ad after the last song, "Seminole Wind" was over then asked if I would play it again. I started the song over and she quickly said "No, the whole CD". So I did. As we sat smoking a joint she remarked how much she liked his voice. When the CD finished she asked how many of John's CDs I own. I told her 12, not counting the Greatest Hits collections. So over the next few days I played her every John Anderson CD I own. She is a huge fan of his music and rich distinctive voice. She can tell the difference between Merle Haggard & Willie Nelson now. Unfortunately she can't tell Hank Williams Jr. from Chris Stapleton.

I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to re-edit some track marks and add fade in/fade out at beginning/ending. The DVD had 5.1 Surround Sound so I converted the waves from 6 channel to 2 channel stereo with Goldwave. The waves were lossy so I encoded them to MP3 320kbps using Traders Little Helper

Another great show from The Claypool Lennon Delirium. These guys are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. I personally would not have thought to combine Les Claypool & Sean Lennon. This is because I don't remember ever hearing anything about Sean's music. After the first show of theirs I downloaded I was convince it was a great idea. Throwing in Stone Giant keyboardist João Nogueira & Cake drummer Paulo Baldi is the icing on the cake (yep, I see it, the pun was not intended).

This is some great Psychedelic Progressive Rock like came out of London, England's 1960s Psychedelic Rock scene. The Delirium is a band that wears it influences on it's sleeve for all to see. You can hear The Beatles, Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd and much more. This is the kind of stuff where we used to smoke a bunch of Red Bud and veg out to. Headphones or a beanbag chair between the speakers (don't lie we all had them). This is the 3rd post from The Delirium already on this site. More can be found here. I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to edit some track marks and try to address some of the volume issues of the audio. No EQ or noise reduction was used. There are however some fluctuations in the volume that I could not quite fix. This is however a very enjoyable listen. Some of the tracks have a DJ talking over them, I thought about deleting them, but didn't.

"Chinese Rocks" was written by Dee Dee Ramone and Richard Hell. As the story goes Dee Dee took it to The Ramones but Johnny originally declined due to it's obvious drug reference (but 53 & 3. It was first recorded by Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers. In the album credits, Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers tried to take credit for writing the song. The copy right papers however list Dee Dee Ramone & Richard Hell only.

Dee Dee Ramone would leave the band in 1989 for a solo career. His last show was July 5 1989. C.J. Ramone made his live debut September 30, 1989. Dee Dee Ramone died June 5, 2002 from a heroin overdose, he was 50. Joey Ramone died April 15, 2001 from lymphoma, he was 49. Johnny Ramone died September 15, 2004 from prostate cancer, he was 55. Original drummer Tommy Ramone (Tamás Erdélyi) died July 11, 2014 from bile duct cancer, he was 65. Surviving members Marky Ramone & C.J. Ramone no longer speak to each other.
