I downloaded this kick ass DVD from a Russian torrent tracker. I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to re-edit some of the track marks, I also raised the volume by doubling it twice. No EQ or Noise Reduction was used and no remixing or remastering was done. I did remove the broadcast programs intro and outro music. The DVD itself was two parts, each part having five tracks. I cross faded the two parts together for a smoother transition. The DVD itself had lossy audio so the waves were encoded to MP3 320kbps using Trader's Little Helper aligning all sector boundaries.

These four men to me are some of the most talented musicians in Jazz today. I have never heard a bad performance when just one of them was involved. When the four get together you have one of the best damn Jazz Improv bands today. I have a lot of music on the blog from Medeski, Martin, & Wood and John Scofield so check the links to the right.

Two of my favorites in Jazz, Medeski, Martin & Wood and Guitar Legend John Scofield join forces to kick some Jazz ass! Each time the trio of Medeski Martin & Wood add the additional element of another instrumentalist it changes the music. With the addition of a guitarist such as John Scofield or Nels Cline the music is such that each could be a different band. Each player is allowed to add the own signature on the music. There is never a shortage of people who want to jam with all 4 of the musicians on this recording so ego must not be a factor, with the music being the magic.
