We lost Dickey Betts when I was off-line. Can't tell you how sad it makes me feel to know Jaimoe Jai Johanny Johanson is the last remaining member of the Duane Allman led era of The Allman Brothers Band. I'll never forget the first time I heard The Allman Brothers. I was at a party and this one drunk kid kept yelling "Play The Woofin Poof" till the sound of "The Whipping Post" came through the stereo. Oh man that voice, the organ and the damn guitars combined to make a Blues Soaked Southern Rock Howling Moan like I had never heard. Odel (that was his name) never lived down the woofin poof call. We were all in our teens and had drank this concoction of Kool-Aid and booze mixed up in a cooler...Ah the 70s!!!

I downloaded the flac from https://flac24bitmusic.com/ when I do I like to check if the files are lossless or not. The files were lossless but not decodable without error so I decoded then re-encoded them, there are no errors now.

I just love early Bruce Springsteen music. My favorite era is from the first album to The River. For me it seemed Bruce had reached a point where everything he had tried to do with the early albums culminated and he had to start anew. It's not that I don't like the post River albums but Bruce himself has said he had to try some different things in song writing to keep it fresh for himself. Tunnel Of Love and the tour that followed is a wonderful example of my point. Bruce had changed things around admittedly to shake things up. Don't get me wrong please, I think Bruce did a wonderful job transitioning from the 1970s to the 1980s and beyond. We love you Bruce...Thank you for decades of great music!!
