No source information was given with this show except that it was a Pre-FM source and the lineage. I posted this show before but it was an MP3 224kbps encoding of a FM Broadcast Recording. I am so happy to have found a Pre-FM source to share. If you downloaded the previous version you're going to want this sonic upgrade. If you're just starting your Keith Jarrett collection this is the best show to start with. I included the artwork BigO made for the previous FM version.

Great sounding Jazz Tribute To The Grateful Dead. The group has been together for some years and has had a few line-up changes but they always kick ass. There are a few shows in circulation, this one was my first taste of the band. You can't miss with members of Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report, & Dixie Dreggs. I don't really know much about Widespread Panic (didn't they have a radio hit in the 1990s?) but keyboardist Jimmy Hearing does an awesome job. Throw in guest appearances by Merl Saunders (the show's opening act as well) and Jeff Mosier, well you get the point. Download this awesome show now.

The second in Rosebud's Tribute To Glenn Hughes is a great show from Glenn's South American Tour playing a Deep Purple MKIII Set. When asked why he was out touring playing these songs he said (and I paraphrase here) "Someone has too". I agree wholeheartedly. At one point there had been talk of reforming the Deep Purple MKIII line-up. Ritchie Blackmore however said it would be hard to convince Ian Pace to do it. Lars Ulrich of Metallica offered to play if Pace wouldn't. The idea was put to rest when John Lord passed away. Personally as a Metallica fan (pre-Black Album sorry) I would rather see another drummer do the job. Lars can not swing like Ian (all drummers say Ian's swing style is hard to cop). That being said this backing band kicks ass. I wish Hughes & Coverdale would tour this material together but damn does Glenn do a great job with out him. It's interesting to hear him sing songs Dave took the main lead on like "Sail Away" & "Mistreated".

This post serves up a package of 2 different versions of the recording. Both versions start with the originally posted FM Master recording. The first version is edited to remove as much DJ chatter as possible without losing music. The second version is also remastered as well as edited. It makes for a fine package, added is the cover art that BigO magazine used when they hosted the original master at their site.

This is a very large file set, both flac & MP3. The flac CDs have been uploaded separately, the MP3 was uploaded in 2 parts. All parts will unzip separately as well.

Recorded as an intended Black Sabbath album or a Tony Iommi solo album, that's still in contention but these sessions stayed unreleased for a long time. Tony Iommi finally re-recorded most of it (keyboards & drums) for the DEP Sessions CD. Dave Holland's drum tracks were wiped because Iommi wanted to distance himself from Holland. Dave Holland (of Judas Priest) had been convicted of molesting a mentally challenged 17 year old boy in 2004. The boy had been taking drum lessons from Holland. Dave maintains he is innocent. Dave Holland was living in A Fonsagrada, Spain when he died January 16, 2018. It was later reported that he had died from lung cancer, Holland was 69. Additional keyboards were also added by Geoff Nichols & Mike Exeter before the official release.

This is the first in a couple Rosebud Picks in tribute to another favorite singer of hers Glenn Hughes. Like me Rosebud feels the Glenn Hughes-David Coverdale era of Deep Purple is very underrated by a lot of Rock & Rollers. Some Purple fans love Deep Purple MKIII some don't. Personally I am a fan of all Deep Purple line-ups but one. The line-up with Joe Lynn Turner, if Ritchie Blackmore wanted to make another Rainbow album he should have reformed that band. I'm not a big fan of Rainbow's Joe Lynn Turner era either but that's just my opinion (it's not that I hate it either just my least favorite I guess), Rosebud loves it (LOL).

Frankie Miller, Jimi Hendrix, & Yes Requests Filled as well as More Links Fixed

So we had a request from BigB for Jimi Hendix's Bob Terry Tapes links to be fixed so we fixed all the Jimi Hendrix links for you BigB, hope you enjoy them!

Jason wanted to hear the Yes Drama Demos so we fixed all the Yes links, hope you enjoy them Jason!

Star Studded Sham (a great alias by the way!) wanted to hear Frankie Miller so we fixed that link as well. This is the only Frankie Miller show I have but if anybody has som they could share let me know!

Also all Jazz shows from Absolutely Sweet Marie to Jean-Luc Ponty are working again. There's quite a bit of Jazz on the site so fixing all them is a project (lol). I have more of those zipped up and ready to upload so that project will continue of course.

Thank You For The Requests They Help Us Know What Links Need To Be Fixed.

If You Want A Show Re-posted Please Do Not Be Afraid To Ask!
