I can not tell you how much every single one of you needs this show in your collection! Look at the list of performers above! Wow! All to pay tribute to Roy Orbison and raise money for the homeless in America. The sound is really good on this one, everything seems to come through pretty good. As with a lot of audience recordings the louder you play it, the more you hear! That's said a lot about audience recordings but when they are recorded right it's true.

To have Roger McGuinn, David Crosby and Chris Hillman reunite as The Byrds with special guest Bob Dylan is worth the download. B.B. King jamming "The Thrill Is Gone" with Al Kooper! Bonus! John Lee Hooker and Bonnie Raitt together on "I'm In The Mood". I could go on but I should not have to....

The only other fault is it's not in your collection which you could easily fix by clicking the download link of you choice. Alright funny story...My Mom liked the 2 Michael McDonald sung singles "Minute By Minute" and "What A Fool Believes" so asked me who sang them. I got my Minute By Minute tape to show her the cover. She went out and bought the LP at the local K-mart. When she got home and opened it, she saw the big picture of a joint roach on the inner record sleeve, brought the record to me and took my cassette!

Everything I see says this gig took place on December 30, 1978. I have found 2 newspaper or magazine adds and 1 bootleg cover that shows this date. Setlist.fm and The Concert Archive show the date as December 30, 1978. Also most sources on the net has The Doobie Brothers playing Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, Sacramento, California on December 29, 1978. I will let you decide but the evidence suggests December 30, 1978. Maybe our friend Draftervoi has some information on this one.
