We had a request for some Molly Hatchet a little while back, sorry it took me so long to get this up but it was worth the wait. This is a nice recording of Molly Hatchet kicking out their brand of Southern Rock Boogie with a Hard Rock heart. This one comes from the bands tour to promote their debut album Molly Hatchet. Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd fame was a big fan of Molly Hatchet and had a lot to do with the band being signed to a recording contract. As a matter of fact Ronnie was scheduled to produce Molly Hatchet's debut album but died in a plane crash before the sessions began. The band pulls out a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Gimme Three Steps" in tribute. Lead vocalist Danny Joe Brown passed away March 10, 2005 from renal failure at the age of 53. Danny had long suffered complications from diabetes and had a massive stroke in 1995. Duane Roland passed away a little over a year later June 19, 2006 from natural causes. He was also 53.
