justdave notes:
I ripped the audio with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to re-edit some track marks, add a fade in and fade out, and crossfade the two sets together. No EQ, noise reduction or remixing was done. The show was edited to run set 1 & 2 continuously, if burning to CD-r use the set marks as you CD1, CD2 separation.

Ann Wilson sings some songs from bands that have influenced her, some solo tracks,  and some Heart tracks. The Heart tracks have newer arraignments. Some of the covers may be a little surprising, such as Peter Gabriel's "Don't Give Up", Jimi Hendix's "Manic Depression", or Yes's "I Seen All Good People". The cover of Yes' "I Seen All Good People" is only the "You're Move" section of the song and segues into The Black Crows "She Talks To Angels".

Heart is, according to the Wilson sisters, on hiatus. This is due to a strain in the sisters relationship after events that took place at a Heart concert at the White River Amphitheater, Auburn, Washington. Ann's husband allegedly assaulted Nancy's 16 year old twin boys (he has plead guilty). Since this incident the sisters have only communicated through other people, not directly. Both have formed solo bands with members of Heart, and are on tour separately.

justdave's notes:
I rippped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to re-edit some track marks, and adjust some volume issues. No EQ or noise reduction was used. The waves were encoded to MP3 320kbps, with Traders Little Helper, because the DVD had lossy audio.

Some Guitar Legends lay down some awesome performances for a great cause.

Digitized from the original radio broadcast CD's

Ann Wilson – lead vocals, flute, guitar, keyboards, percussion, violin, autoharp
Nancy Wilson – vocals, guitars, mandolin, keyboards, synthesizers, harmonica
Howard Leese – guitars, keyboards, mandolin, recorder, autoharp, percussion, vocals
Denny Fongheiser – drums, percussion
Fernando Saunders – bass guitar

In 1995 Nancy Wilson took a break from the band to focus on being a mother. Nancy performed one last gig with Heart at The Joint in The Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel. The gig was recorded on video to be shown on VH1 and broadcast as this Westwood One Superstar Concert.

Heart not only performs some of there biggest hits but some great covers. Steve Winwood's "Roll With It", Gary Moore's "Still Got The Blues", Ike & Tina Turner's "River Deep, Mountain High", Led Zeppelin's "What Is A What Should Never Be", and a smoking version of  Paul McCartney & Wings "Letting Go". The latter worth the download alone!

6 Degrees Of Led Zeppelin Post # 20

From 1982-1993 Denny Carmassi played drums for Heart. In 1993 he was involved with the short lived Coverdale-Page project. The project was a collaboration between Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and David Coverdale of Whitesnake, Deep Purple fame. Denny Carmassi played on both the album and on the short tour that followed.

These are raw soundboard recordings, there may be drop outs, volume fluctuations, or other sound hiccups. Each show is individually uploaded so you can download the ones you want and/or need to complete your collections. Lossless options are available for some but I do not have all of them in flac so some are just MP3.
Each download includes a bunch of extras. Including a pdf of the original concert program, a pdf of some Cal Jam2 bumper stickers, a pdf of some local news paper articles, and a ticket scan.

You may be interested to know that the 3 Aerosmith tracks on the Cal Jam II LP were not actually recorded at Cal Jam II and are the same versions from Live Bootleg. The actual dates are as follows:

-Draw The Line is from the 26/3/78 Upper Darby show
-Same Old Song And Dance is from the 24/3/78 Columbus show
-Chip Away The Stone is supposedly from 8/4/78 Santa Monica show

Rubicon's set has never turned up in trading circles.

This fine recording comes from the German leg of the Private Audition Tour. Ann & Company are in fine form running through a set of classic Heart tracks. Nancy even takes a turn at the lead vocal mike for "Raised On You". I personally haven't bought a Heart album since Bebe Le' Strange. I prefer the old rock and roll stuff to the Top 40 chart grabbing later years. I hold there achievements in deep respect though it's not easy to consistently hit the charts like that. So if your like me and you prefer the 70's style Heart than don't be afraid to download this show. If you're a complete Heart fanatic then you're already downloading so I don't have to convince you.
