When I met Rosebud she was a big fan of the 2 albums by The Firm. She said she loved Paul Rodgers' voice. I told her if she loves The Firm she should hear Paul's work with Bad Company & Free. I was right and now we collect everything by all of Paul Rodgers' bands. When I added this digital download version of Free's Transmission Impossible to our collection Rosebud decided it had to be posted in the next round. So here it is for all fans of Paul Rodgers.

justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to even out the volume and make track marks. No EQ or noise reduction used. No remastering or remixing done. The DVDs had lossy audio so the waves were converted to MP3 320kbps with Trader's Little Helper.

There is a hum through out the show, most likely from an amplifier. It however does not take away from the enjoy-ability of this uncut performance. There are also a few drop outs along the way, but they don't take away from the over all enjoy-ability of the show either. All Kiss live albums are heavily over dubbed and MTV Unplugged was no exception. This tape is a warts and all recording which to me is more enjoyable. Each DVD run over an hour and twenty minutes. I did not edit the tapes down to make them fit on 2 CDs preferring to keep each DVDs audio as presented. However if you want to burn a CD just place track 23 from CD One as the first track on CD Two and it should burn.

The beginning of the reunion no fan thought they would ever see. The one thing that I find to be kind of funny about this show is who keeps messing up the takes the most. Ace Frehley & Peter Criss were both said to be too unreliable. However the person that keeps messing up the takes the most is Gene Simmons. Pete and Ace are 100% spot on the first take just like Paul Stanley. Gene however seems to be having a bad night. Taking 2 to 3 takes on a few of his self penned tracks. A fan actually shouts from the audience "Gene, what's wrong!" I do like the fact that Kiss included the Gene Simmons solo album track "See You Tonight". Gene's solo album is a little all over the place when it comes to musical styles. "See You Tonight" was one of the songs on his album I really liked, seeming to show a bit more depth in his writing. Something a little more than his normal "I am here for your women" lyrics.
