The Flac files had sector boundary errors when I received them. I decoded the files, used Trader's Little Helper to fixed them, re-encoded them to Flac Level 8 so this version will have different finger prints.

This is a re-post and flac upgrade to an earlier post. That post used the BigO MP3 224kbps version of this show. This time we have the lossless flacs and the MP3 will be at 320kbps. The fusion of jazz and rock was complete for John McLaughlin with the amazing success of his Mahavishnu Orchestra, and through his collaborations with Carlos Santana, Chick Corea, and Jaco Pastorius. He subsequently found fame playing acoustic guitar with the biggest stars of Indian music, in Shakti; and with the biggest star of the Flamenco world, Paco de Lucia. Now he’s back with Jazz-Rock Fusion, and a band that’s widely recognized as one of the best he’s ever had - with Gary Husband, Etienne M’Bappe, and Ranjit Barot. They play with fire, finesse and freewheeling interplay, with Mclaughlin’s guitar chops undimmed.

First, the management refused the broadcast if it was not directed by the band’s sound engineer (France Musique used to work with its own) but finally gave the radio authorization just before the concert.Three very short signal intermissions during the broadcast were fixed. I left some DJ comments (in between tunes only).
