Tracks 01-07 From The Unreleased Demo, Nemesis Of Power xx-xx-1993
Tracks 08-17 From The Industry Demo, Prototype xx-xx-2002
The songs from the Nemesis Of Power demo are pretty cool to have. Musically they are somewhere between Vanity/Nemesis and Monotheist. The music from the Prototype demo must have been for Thomas Gabriel Fisher's Industrial project, Apollyon Sun. They are definitely Industrial/Techno music. Some actually border on Gabba. They are not quite my cup of tea but Celtic Frost fanatics should at least hear them. Well worth the download for tracks one through nine though.

justdave's notes:
I used Goldwave to convert the source MP4 into a 16 bit wave. I then used Goldwave to adjust some volume issues and edit track marks. No EQ or noise reduction was used. The MP4 had lossy audio so Trader's Little Helper was used to encode the waves to MP3 320kbps.
On tour to promote their first album Eparistera Daimones, Triptykon (Greek for triptych) hits the Wacken Open Air stage. Rather ironic since a headlining slot at Wacken 2006 was part of Celtic Frost's return. That return was called to a halt when founder Thomas Gabriel Fischer left the band. Fischer stated he could no longer work with the members of Celtic Frost, nor bear to use the name anymore. Triptykon's 1st album is the rightful successor to Celtic Frost's Monotheist. It does take a further step down the Experimental Blackened Doom of it's predecessor. Unfortunately this is a short set with 2 tracks being covers. This means you get only 4 tracks representing Melana Chasmata and "The Prolonging" fades early (ironic if you think about it). It is however a soundboard recording from their first World Tour so gotta have it.

When Celtic Frost reunited in 2001 their fans celebrated a second coming that would deliver the bands darkest album too date. Monotheist, released in 2006, was a Gothic Doom/Black Metal monster that was worth the 13 year wait. Alas the celebrating was to be short lived as Thomas Gabriel Fischer decided he could no longer work with certain members of the band, Celtic Frost broke up again this time for good. Fischer formed Triptycon with the vision of carrying on with the direction that Celtic Frost had taken on Monotheist. Triptycon has released 2 full lengths and an EP and is widely accepted by fans as the continuation of the Celtic Frost legacy. This recording comes from the bands tour to promote their new album Melana Chasmata, roughly translated from Greek as meaning "black, deep depressions/valleys".

Celtic Frost 2006 Is:
Tom Gabriel Fischer vocals, guitars, programming
Martin Eric Ain bass guitar, vocals
Franco Sesa drums, percussion
Live Member:
Anders Odden guitar
This show was actually supposed to be released by the band, but was shelved after their breakup. Tom Gabriel Fischer has stated that it will never officially see the light of day, because he dosen't want drummer Franco Sesa to make anymore money off the Celtic Frost name. The diferances between the 2 was the catalist for the breakup, as Martin Ain took Sesa's side in the disagreement, prompting Fisher to leave the band. The band was officially put to rest in 2008.
