Sepultura on their first visit to Finland. It's a pretty good sounding soundboard recording, most likely a broadcast recording. The success of the Arise album gave Sepultura the push they needed to become a Worldwide Heavy Metal touring band. My 1st time seeing Sepultura was on this tour at The Harpo's Concert Theater in Detroit, Michigan. The show was so packed that people were standing on the pool tables trying to get a view of the stage. If you know anything about Harpo's, you know the pool tables were in a room of their own that you couldn't see anything from. The follow up to Arise would be the hugely successful Chaos A.D. which saw the band develop a more Groove Metal sound. This all in preparation to ready fans for the big change to Neo-Metal with the album Roots (a big shift but IMHO Roots was an un-Fuckwithable Masterpiece).

A nice sounding recording from Max and company's appearance at yet another festival. It's a fine set with Soulfly songs, Sepultura covers and the band drum session, where a fan is brought out of the audience by Max to join in.

This is one of the best sounding Soulfly shows that I have heard. The band is in fine form as always, playing both Soulfly and Sepultura tracks. When Max left Sepultura he took the Tribal Inluenced Neo-Metal sound of Roots and ran with it to great effect. Soulfly has gone through many line-up changes as Max prefers to keep the membership fluid. This is so that he may experiment with different sounds, with different players.
