More Grand Funk Railroad, this one is the very well known ABC In Concert recording from 1972. I love this period of Grand Funk. It was in the 1970's (at least 1976 or later) that I 1st saw Grand Funk. Growing up in Detroit and waist deep in the Detroit music scene it was inevitable that I would grow up a Grand Funk freak, or hate them because you heard them on the radio a lot. There were only 2 artists played more on Detroit Rock Radio, Bob Seger and Ted Nugent. The Big 3 Of Detroit Rock's radio rotation was only eclipsed by the many Motown Greats! (too many to mention). But only one Detroit Rock & Roll band can claim that they opened for Led Zeppelin in Detroit, and Zeppelin's show had to be stopped due to the Detroit fans wanting there home boys back on stage. They kept chanting there name!. That band was Grand Funk Railroad (this comes from a Led Zeppelin documentary I watched on Tubi). Same thing happened when Zeppelin played the Boston Tea Party with Vanilla Fudge. The audience wouldn't stop the chants of Bring On The Fudge. (that comes from the book Hammer Of The Gods)
