Known Faults:
- As with all King Biscuit shows I've edited so far, the commercials had a maked difference in volume to the music.
- Volume of commercials was adjusted to match the body of the show. This causes excessive needle noise

Recording Notes:
- There is a locked groove test tone at the beginning of Side A for radio stations to set balance and output levels before broadcast. It was not encoded.
- There are two locked groove show promos at the end of Side A. They have been encoded and moved to the end of the program.

Editing Notes:
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.
- LP cleaned with the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaning System prior to playback.
- A Zerostat Positive Ion gun was used on LP prior to playback.
- Raw transfer: EQ off, treble and bass levels set at +/- zero for most accurate sound of LP.
- Turntable & tone arm balanced: Needle Tracking & Azimuth set: Needle Pressure & Antiskid digitaly set.
- Soundcard stereo field maximized.
- Goldwave set to record while filtering any offset.
- Recording and all editing done in 24bit/96khz.
- Preservation being key the show is encoded complete with commercials and voiceovers.
- Declicked manually and some noise reduction used depending on what best served situation.
- A High Pass Filter with an initial cutoff of 60khz with a Static Steepness of 2 was used to lessen the needle noise during commercials. This needle noise being due to the low volume of the commercials and having to raise said volume to match the music and voiceovers.

Other Notes:
- The Aldo Nova portion of the show was released again by King Biscuit Flower Hour as Best Of The Biscuit #435 but "Heart To Heart" was not included
- The opening act for George Thorogood & The Destroyers at Perkin's Palace was Blues Legend Albert Collins

Live From The House of Blues Presented By Pontiac Sunfire was a syndicated radio show distributed on two cds, with a concert recorded at a House of Blues club (at the time, in Los Angeles, New Orleans, or Cambridge).  The live music was interspersed with national commercials, and the House of Blues was promoted by short comments from patrons.  The syndicated radio show premiered on January 27 and appears to have run for about a year.

Also in 1995, 26 live shows were television on TBS (Turner Broadcast System).
This Thorogood show was also on television, so there may have been overlap
between the television and radio shows.

The shows don't turn up very often, so it's likely the number of stations participating in the syndication was fairly low, compared to shows like King Biscuit Flower Hour.

This show was hosted by Pat St. John...who had previously hosted some of the "SuperGroups In Concert" shows in the early 1980s, and the "Live From Electric Ladyland" shows in the early 1990s.

Thorogood tears through a set of classic blues, and there's a "guest spot" by John Hammond on a cover of John Lee Hooker's "Father Was A Jockey" (mistitled as "Ride Till I Die" on the cue sheet).
I cut out the radio commercials but left in the (very short) promos for the House of Blues, and the disc jockey commentary and introductions.  FLAC files of wavs.  I've included scans of the cue sheets, CD discs, and an ad for the series from Billboard.

Not sure if that's true or not but I do know that this is a bad ass recording of George Thorogood & The Destroyers kicking some Rock & Roll Boogie Woogie Blues booty! George's second album Move It On Over had only been out a couple months but "Move It On Over", "Who Do You Love?", & "It Wasn't Me" were all over the FM Radio dial.

With equal parts of Chuck Berry, Elmore James, Howlin' Wolf and Bo Diddley, semi-pro baseball player George Thorogood burst into the 1970's music scene. George played baseball second base for the Delaware Destroyers. He made rookie of the year but after seeing blues guitarist John P. Hammond in concert George entered the music world. George would continue playing baseball until the mid 1970s when it became to hard to balance the 2 worlds.

This recording comes from George's tour to promote his third album, More George Thorogood and the Destroyers. George and the band are on fire, the entire show cooks. The only problem with the recording is the first few seconds of House of Blue Lights was missed, other than that this is a highly recommended show for any fan of George Thorogood or fans of great blues boogie.

This awesome boot is a mix of two separate sources to make the best possible version of the show. It was a massive undertaking and involved quite a bit of editing. The work is documented in the text file included in the download. The end result is a must have recording for all George Thorogood fans, so all Props to the Editor and original tapers for giving us this fabulous bit of musical history.

Now I know that I don't have to sell anyone on George Thorogood, the man is a Living Rock Legend who sells out concerts still. At the time of this recording the world was just starting to discover the man and his music. I saw George one time at an amphitheater that had a curfew of 11 pm for shows. Bands were actually fined for going over the curfew. At 11:15 an usher came out to tell George it was time to end the show. When George still hadn't stopped by 11:30, the venue turned on the house lights. George continued undeterred until the venue cut the power at midnight. The venue now has a curfew of 10:30 pm.
