Last night I lost someone very near and dear to me, my cousin Jamie. He was my best friend and brother since we were toddlers. He was only 50 and his life was cut short in a terrible motorcycle accident. I have nothing prepared for upload, the last three shows from Halestorm, Dave Holland Prism, and Venom were the last boots I listened to..and I can't bring myself to listen to any music right now, so I will be taking some time to mourn my fallen brother. I will be back in a few days...when I have come to terms with what has happened. This is not an end to The New JDP, I will be back...but music was a big part of my and Jamie's relationship...down to attending our first concert together (Bob Seger at Cobo Hall when we were quite young)...I can not listen to anything without the tears...so give me a few days....visit our archive and download some music, and celebrate the lives of those you love while you still have them...Call someone today and tell them how much they are needed in your life...
