justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I used Goldwave to fix a couple track marks. No EQ, Noise Reduction or Audio processing was needed. There is some muddying of the bass guitar and the bass drum. I did nothing to change that since it's not that bad.
Muti-Talented, multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Nick Anderson's Garage Rock band The Hellacopters are one of my all time favorite bands. This Swedish Garage Rock band plays the genre so well that they were made Honorary Members of The Detroit Garage Rock Scene by none other than Scott Morgan of The Rationals & Sonic's Rendezvous Band. This is an awesome performance from a reunited Hellacopters, Nick took time of to form another Death Metal band called Death Breath amongst other musical side ventures. The Hellacopters are broken up again but Nick formed Imperial State Electric to carry on that Garage Rock sound. He also reunited with his first Death Metal band Entombed amongst other musical side ventures. Nick Anderson seems unable to sit still with releases from over 12 bands in his long busy career.

justdave's notes:
I converted the TS Video file to wave using Goldwave. I then used Goldwave to divide the tracks & lower the audio volume a little due to some clipping. The TS Video file had lossy audio so I converted them to MP3 320kbps using Trader's Little Helper.
Another fine performance from the reunited 1990s Alt-Hard Rock giants Live. A younger cousin of mine introduced me to Live's music. Rather fitting as her mother was my Aunt Red who played a large part in my musical education. The Aunt who introduced me to Frijid Pink when I was just 5 years old (I met them at a rehearsal of theirs). I in turn introduced her daughter Panacea to Thrash Metal and Punk music as well as all my Detroit Metal & Punk Scene friends. Anyway Panacea played me the debut album Mental Jewelry and I was hooked. As a Metal Head I felt my choice was vindicated when Kerrang Magazine gave the album I do believe 5 out of 5 star review (it may have been a 4 out o 5).

I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to raise the volume, fix a couple drop outs, and re-index a couple tracks. No EQ or noise reduction was used.
Brant Bjork is a Stoner Rock/Metal Icon. He was a founding member of Kyuss, played a huge part in The Desert Sessions, played drums for Fu Manchu, was in Kyuss Lives! (the short lived Kyuss reunion without Josh Homme), Vista Chino (Kyuss reunion offshoot), was in Mondo Generator, founded the trio Stöner, he has also carved out one hell of a respectable solo career having released 15 solo albums. This live set was very welcome when I stumbled onto it. All Stoner Rock/Metal Fans....I know you're gonna love this!

justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I had to raise the volume by more than double, and even out the volume, as the left channel was about 3db less than the right. I also had to divide the tracks, these tasks were done with Goldwave. The DVD audio was lossy so I encoded the waves to MP3 320kbps using Trader's Little Helper.
This recording shows a little bit of it's age, but is a very enjoyable listen. Not sure how many recordings from the 1982 US Festival are around, I sure am glad to have this one in my Tom Petty collection. I was introduced to Tom Petty's music trough a Punk Rock Friend of mine when I was in Junior High School. We had skipped school to go to his place and smoke some weed. He pulled out Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (the self titled debut) and said "Dave, this guys no bullshit attitude towards Rock & Roll is gonna make him a either a song writers musician or a big star, not sure which." By time the album ended I new one thing, I was going down to the local record shop to grab that album the next day.

I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to raise the volume, separate tracks and add fade in/fade out where necessary. The source DVD had lossy audio so the waves were encoded to MP3 320kbps with Traders Little Helper.
The only flaw in the recording is that "Funeral For A Friend / Love Lies Bleeding" fades in right at the start. Very little of the performance is missed. On the cover art track 15 is named "Tiny Dancer", the song is actually "The Bitch Is Back"

The DVD had lossy audio so the waves were encoded to MP3 320kbps using Trader's Little Helper. The audio does have an audible amp hum in between songs. Since it isn't heard during the performance I did not attempt to remove it.
This is a fabulous show, and a great addition to any Collector's shelves. Frank Marino was going to tour in 2020 but was cancelled due to covid-19. In 2021 his tour was rescheduled only to be cancelled again. gThis time due to Frank suffering from an ailment he said was a career ending. Turns out Frank is battling chronic pain in his shoulder and can not play his guitar at all. Very saddening news indeed. Hopefully a good doctor can get it under control for him.
