I received a lot of messages asking if I was alright since there was a long absence from posting. I am very sorry to have worried anyone. I am doing fine and my health is always getting better. I have even lost 45 pounds, now I am back to the weight I was when I met Rosebud 29 years ago.
I actually had gotten lost in my work. I have been encoding a lot of Pre-FM recordings from my ever growing collection. Since me and 3 other collectors kind of eased into becoming The Collective Of Live Music I have been buying Pre-FM vinyl like crazy. I am also assisting Draftervoi encode the very huge collection of Sam Elliot's Mustache. The fruits of this creative burst of energy are posted below.
There are 3 unique versions of the same concert from Smokey Robinson. Each different broadcast has it's own mix, and edits making each one a must have for collectors. Also there is a classic Pat Benatar King Biscuit Best Of The Biscuit from 1982. Another King Biscuit Best Of The Biscuit featuring Canadian Pomp-Prog Rockers Saga paired with Scandal touring for their first EP. One of many David Bowie Westwood One Superstar Concert Series recordings from Tokyo 1990. Country Music singer Gene Watson from one of his many Live From Gilley's appearances. Also something I'm really proud of finding Country Music Legend Roy Clark on the Silver Eagle Cross Country Music Show in 1982!!!!

- "Yesterday When I Was Young" is the first Roy Clark song I remember ever hearing. I was pretty young kid but a big music fan. "Yesterday When I Was Young" is the first song that ever made me cry. It wasn't exactly because of the very sad lyics of a man confronting his winter of life. It was because it was so beautiful in a maudlin sense of the word. It was one of the first singles I remember buying with my own money.
Known Faults:
- The low volume of the commercials contributes to a higher amount of needle noise in the commercials. A highpass filter with a initial cutoff of 40Hz was used to lessen the effect.
Recording Notes:
- There is a locked groove test tone at the beginning of Side A for radio stations to set balance and output levels before broadcast. It was not encoded.
- There is a locked groove show promo at the end of Side D with a voice over. It was encoded.
Editing Notes:
- A Zerostat Positive Ion gun was used on LP prior to playback.
- A carbon fiber record brush, then a felt disc cleaner was used on the record prior to playback.
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.
- LP cleaned with the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaning System prior to playback.
- Raw transfer: EQ off, treble and bass levels set at +/- zero for most accurate sound of LP.
- Turntable balanced: Needle Tracking, Azimuth, Pressure & Antiskid Dialed In: Soundcard stereo field maximized: Goldwave always set to record while filtering any offset.
- Recording and all editing done in 24bit/96khz.
- Preservation being key the show is encoded complete with commercials and voiceovers.
- Declicked manually no Pop Fix Noise Reduction was necessary with this rip.
- The commercials had a maked difference in volume to the music. Volume was adjusted to match the body of the show.
Other Notes:
- Roy Clark was a huge influence on Southern Rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd for his guitar playing. Ronnie Van Zant actually name checks Roy Clark by saying things like "Ahhh sounds like some Roy" and "Come on play me some Roy" at various guitar solos on the bands albums.
- In 1976 Arthur Fiedler invited Roy Clark to perform with The Boston Pops for "An Evening at The Pops with Roy Clark and the Boston Pops Orchestra", Arthur Fiedler conducted.
- Roy Clak was just 17 years old when he first played at The Grand Ole Opry in 1950.
- Roy Clark, who started his professional career in 1947, was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry in 1987. Fourty years after he started his career.
- Roy Clark was shamefully not inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame until 2009, just 9 years before his passing.
- Roy Clark passed away November 15, 2018 at the age of 85, from complications of pneumonia.
- Roy Clark was also a pilot, obtaining his license in 1953. After Roy Clark died, His 1953 Piper Tri-Pacer was raffled off on December 17, 2012 to benefit the charity Wings of Hope.
- Wings of Hope is a nonprofit organization that partners with organizations in ten countries outside of the U.S. to provide medical evacuation flights and access to health care for remote communities. Wings of Hope also provides free medical air transportation to people within a 900-mile radius of its St. Louis headquarters.- Wings Of Hope info copied and pasted from Roy Clark's Wikipedia page.
- Ray Charles sang the Maxwell House "Good To The Last Drop" jingle for a long time. The jingle itself was written by Joseph Brooks.

- When the previous owner wrote Smokey Robinson across the inner white sleeve, they pressed hard enough to leave the words indented into Side One across both Sections 1 which is the acoustic arrangement of "Tracks Of My Tears". This of course made for quite a bit of noise that had to be removed. Some had to be left because removing it damaged the sound worse tha leaving it in. You have to pay attention to hear it, if not listening for it it will just sound like the audience clapping.

Known Faults:
- Vinyl was not properly cleaned before encoding which left quite a bit of vinyl noise to clean up.
- No Cue Sheets or Info Text was given with download.
Recording Notes:
- Encoder had his right and left patch cords crossed somewhere because what is right is left an what is left is right.
- The recording is a little rough at the start of "Tracks Of My Tears" but quickly cleans up.
Editing Notes:
- Connected the files to allow for easier editing.
- Evened out then raised the volume of the files.
- Removed any DC offset.
- Did a De-click with Goldwave with a tolerance of 2000%.
- Some larger clicks removed manualy.
- Some vinyl deffects may still be audible. Some clicks couldn't be removed without further damaging the sound so they were left. Others may have just been missed in the process.
- A rumble/bump filter was used on the files with an initial cutoff of 40khz due to excessive needle noise.
Other Notes:
- The recording is a little rough at the start of "Tracks Of My Tears" but quickly cleans up. Some small fuzz had to be left since it caused bad after effects when cleaned up.
- The show starts with a very special arrangement of "Tracks Of My Tears". Starting acoustically and finishing as an almost Gospel Soul Ballad.
- Smokey sings a very special version of "Being With You". 3 unique versions of the song were released. There was an english version called "Being With You". A Spanish version called "Aqui Con Tigo" and a bilingual English/Spanish version called "Being With You/Aqui Con Tigo". Smokey performs the bilingual English/Spanish version "Being With You/Aqui Con Tigo".
- I have included the Spanish and the English lyrics to "Being With You".
- The Front Row Theater, Cleveland, Ohio 1982 concert was broadcast by Westwood One as Westwood One Concerts & Specials #PC-83-24, Westwood One Budweiser Concert Hour #BC 82-21 and Westwood One Budweiser Concert Hour #BC 83-06. Each was edited differently creating 3 unique broadcasts.
- Westwood One Concerts & Specials #PC-83-24 is a 2 record show edited as just one concert. Westwood One Budweiser Concert Hour #BC 82-21 is said to be Part 2 of the Smokey Robinson concert and is a "all request set". The audience shouts out titles and Smokey plays them. Westwood One Budweiser Concert Hour #BC 83-06 is said to be Part 1 of the Smokey Robinson concert and consists of songs that sound like the edits used for Westwood One Concerts & Specials #PC-83-24.

Other Notes:
- According to some sources the Sound And Vision Tour was not as pleasurable as David Bowie would have wanted. Seems there was tensions between band members and clashing egos. Keyboardist Rick Fox reportedly would eat his dinner during concerts, on stage at his keyboards.
- There were at least 5 shows from this tour recorded for broadcasts and a proposed video release. Despite this no official recordings have been released from this tour.
- The tour was to put to bed some of David Bowie's catalog that he would no longer be performing live. However a lot of the songs from the tour remained in setlists for the remainder of Bowie's career.

- A carbon fiber record brush, then a felt disc cleaner was used on the record prior to playback.
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.

Other Notes:
- This was a fun project to work on. Pat Benatar and the band had a great couple shows to make up this recording. I've always loved Pat's choices of cover songs. On her first album there was 2 Smokey covers "In the Heat of the Night", and "If You Think You Know How to Love Me", John "Cougar" Melloncamp's "I Need A Lover", The Sweet's "No You Don't", Nick Gilder's "Rated X", Alan Parson's "Don't Let It Show" and Jenny Darren's "Heartbreaker". On Crimes Of Passion there was The Young Rascals' "You Better Run" and Kate Bush's "Wurthering Heights". On Precious Time she covered Paul Revere & The Raiders' "Just Like Me" and The Beatles' "Helter Skelter". Six of these covers are in this set, with "Helter Skelter" being chosen as the show closer.
- This show was released as Pat Benatar Greatest Hits Live.
- Pat Benatar has stopped playing "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" because of the gun violence in the United States. She says that she will not preach to her fans, that's not her place. She says as a citizen that she talks to U.S. Legislators about the situation. She however feels she can not sing the song when it personally makes her think of the violence in the world.

- Saga's portion of the show was first broadcast as King Biscuit Flower Hour #KB 458 which was longer than King Biscuit Flower Hour Best Of The Biscuit #BOB 478, since it had 3 more songs "Don't Be Late", "Humble Stance", You're Not Alone", and "Briefcase".
- Saga's songs "It's Time (Chapter Three)" and "No Regrets (Chapter Five)" are part of a group of songs Saga called "The Chapters" which were about Legendary Physicist Albert Einstein. The band released "Chapters 1 thru 16". The story was intended to have 8 "Chapters" but the concept kept growing in scope. The only album all sixteen tracks appear on is "Live Chapters" no studio compilation of all 16 Chapters has been released.
- Scandal played 3 unreleased songs "Child Of The Night", "Tonight", and "I Don't Know Why I Can't Say No". The songs were later released on a Scandal's Greatest Hits Live CD.
- Both Paul Paul Schaffer, of David Letterman fame, and singer Jon Bon Jovi were early members of Scandal.
- Scandal was opening for the Portland Punk band The Sharks.
- Pat Benatar opened for Saga.
