Bitter Sweet Alley rode the New Rock wave to local prominence, with the regional hit "Time To Move". New Rock is what the critics called rock bands that came out after the New Wave explosion of the 80's. This WRIF 101 FM broadcast is from before their one album actually was released. Lead vocalist Gary Spaniola went solo after the LPs release, and has since become a producer of local acts. I downloaded this from Napster when Napster was still new and before Metallica ruined it.

Great soundboard recording from Public Enemy's tour in support of their 7th studio release, There's a Poison Goin' On. Original DJ Terminator X was not along on this tour. He had been in a serious motorcycle accident in 1994 which shattered his left leg. While recuperating he bought a farm in North Carolina. By the year 1998 Terminator X decided to leave Public Enemy to raise African black ostriches. At this show DJ Johnny "Juice" Rosado is substituting behind the turntables.

CD 1 is made up of The Gibson All-Stars with various vocalists, as well as the bands Skin, Thunder, and Pride & Glory. CD 2 is Paul Rodgers jamming with an exceptional cast of guitar players. I highly recommend this to everyone!!!

Nice sounding recording from Gil Scott-Heron and the Midnight Band at the legendary Bottom Line Club in New York City. After a long spoken intro Gil opens the show with the poem "New Deal". After the poem The Midnight Band comes on stage, and the music portion of the show begins with the drum heavy "Gumbai". Gil is in fine form as he and the band give a fantastic performance to a very lucky intimate audience.

Seduce fought their way out of the Detroit Music Scene to larger heights than any other local 80's Metal act. Seduce actually appeared in the Heavy Metal documentary The Decline And Fall Of Western Civilization: The Metal Years, and had a song, "Coleen", on the soundtrack. Their second album Too Much Is Not Enough, was released to a national audience on a major label. Unfortunately the bands lifestyle of excess is rumored to be the reason for their break up. Seduce does surface from time to time for reunion shows, but Chuck Burns has moved on fronting Detroit band Speedball.
