One of the earliest recorded shows from Loggins & Messina. The band was opening for New Riders Of The Purple Sage, which explains Kenny Loggins covering "Friend Of The Devil". Kenny slows this tune to a ballads pace and is allegedly the reason The Grateful Dead change their version of the song in later performances. At any rate this great sounding recording made by the legendary Betty Cantor and well worth a listen or two.

A nice sounding recording of Loggins & Messina their take on Rock & Roll which actually earned them the genre classification of Yacht Rock (what ever the hell the critics meant by that one). This is some great music in that Country Rock California Sound that every one and their brother was playing in the 1970's (although only some really pulled it off well). I've posted quite a bit of Heavy Metal lately so I figured I would swing in the opposite direction in my collection.
