- This show was also broadcast as #89-07, #89-25 & #92-41. #89-07 and #89-25 on 3-LPs; #92-41 on 1-CD; #89-07 and #89-25 both had one additional track, "That Was Yesterday", that was not on the CD version. The CD version had a 1990s updated mix and master. (Thank you Draftervoi for the research)
- The Nipon Budokan Arena started life as a Judo Arena for the 1964 Summer Olympic Games. It also hosted karate and professional wrestling competitions. Budokan Arena hosted it's first Rock Concert in 1966 when The Beatles played a series of concerts there. Bob Dylan, Cheap Trick, Ian Gillan and Eric Clapton helped make the arena famous in the United States, and other western markets, by releasing Live At Budokan albums. The building was renovated in 2020 and is still in use.

Editing Notes:
- Tracks from this show were released by Westwood One as Shows #88-24, #89-13, #90-07, and #04-28. Draftervoi's notes on his encoding of show #88-24 is my reference point for this and the following comments.
- I bought show #89-13 because it was supposed to be the one that included "Shoot The Moon" but it's only listed on the cue sheet not included on the album. Cue sheet states "Shoot The Moon" follows "Sneakin' Sally Thru the Alley" but "Rip Tide" follows "Sneakin' Sally Thru the Alley".
- Just like show #88-24 there was a half second defect in "Every Kind Of People", this time a very noticeable half second drop out in the left channel. I copied the right channel and pasted it inplace of the drop out. That half second of mono is un-noticible in playback. On show #88-24 the defect is a buzz type noise.
- A slap back from the drum effect in "Some Like It Hot" was very noticeable. I tried to remove that as much as possible, but in 1988 a midi samples could only be played so fast without slap back or failure. The drum effect on the album was done with a gate. Live the drum sound was done by midi triggers. Editing this was the part of the project that took the longest. Some may still be perceivable, my apologies, but at some point you have to say it's done.

Side Notes:
- It had been 10 years since Robert Palmer played Miami.
- Light O'Mania was a promotion campaign between The WWF (now WWE) and Miller Lite Beer. Bob Uecker, a retired Pro Baseball player and sports caster, played The Masked Marauder. Bob Uecker also was a ring announcer for The WWF Wrestlemania III and ringside announcer for Wrestlemania IV. He was the star of a famous Miller Lite promo campaign sitting in good seats then gets moved to the nosebleed section. His famous tag line was "I must be in the front row" when being told to move. It soon became a thing in America to call the cheep seats "Uecker" seats.

Notes On The Cover Songs:
- "Some Like It Hot" was the first single off of The Power Station's debut album. The single was the bands biggest hit. "Some Like It Hot" reached #6 on The Billboard Hot 100 in the USA and #4 on Australia's Kent Music Report.
- "Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin'" was on Jermaine Jackson's 1984 album Jermaine Jackson. The song was never released as a single because Michael Jackson was also on the single dueting with Jermaine. The 2 were on different labels and could not get permission to issue the song as a single. It did  get released as a B-side twice on a 7" and on a 12".
- "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On" was the debut single by Soul/Dance Music singer Cherrelle. It only hit #79 on Billboard Hot 100 but hit #6 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart and #8 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles Chart. Robert Palmer Hit #2 on The Billboard Hot 100 Chart with his version released as the 5th single from Rip Tide.
- "Communication" was the 3rd single from The Power Station and it's highest chat position was #34 on The US Hot 100.
- "Sneakin' Sally Thru the Alley" was written by Allen Toussaint and first released by Lee Dorsey in 1970 on his album Yes We Can. Ringo Star covered it on his album Ringo The 4th in 1977. Robert Palmer recorded it as the title song to his 1974 debut solo album.
- "Walk Beside Me" was released by former Frumpy lead singer Inga Rumpf as a single in 1985. The song is sung by one of Robert Palmer's backup singers.
- "Early In The Morning" was recorded by The Gap Band for their Gap Band IV album. Released as a single it hit #1 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles Chart, #13 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart, and #24 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart. Robert Palmer released it as a single from his Heavy Nova album and it hit #19 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart.
- "Eat The Rich" was recorded by Motörhead for their 8th album Rock 'n' Roll released in 1987. It was released as both a 7" and 12" single. Robert Palmer covered it at his concerts as social commentary.
- "Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)" was written and recorded by Moon Martin in 1978 as a stand alone single for British & European markets and added to the Shots from a Cold Nightmare album's American release. Robert Palmer recorded it for his 1979 Secrets album. Palmer's single version hit #14 on The Billboard Hot 100, #10 on The Cashbox Hot 100 Chart, and #1 on the Canadian RPM Chart. It was also in hot rotation for years on Album Rock FM radio stations. The song was remixed in 1989 for the hits package Addictions: Volume 1. The remix featured "heavier" guitar and drum sounds.

Personal Note:
- I started this project as a casual Robert Palmer listener. My only CD was a greatest hits compilation. My only vinyl was Secrets because I wanted his cover of Moon Martin's "Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)". After listening to this show over and over. Hearing the man sing Motörhead's "Eat The Rich". After he made me like a Jermaine Jackson song, "Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin'", I have a larger appreciation for him as an artist.
