Now this is a unique combination of performers. It's Glam Rock and Funky Soul, they just don't pair them up like they used to. Now you get 2 groups from the exact same genre like Rock and Roll should never mix with any other kind of music. Back in the 1960s and 1970s promoters would mix bills like that all the time. Yes, I know these 2 bands didn't play together for this recording but the producers of King Biscuit still combined 2 genres that wouldn't be combined in a broadcast in this era. It just doesn't happen like that anymore. I miss the days of someone like The J. Geils Band taking a band like Früt on tour or a Rocker like Bob Seger taking a Southern Pop Rock band like Toby Beau out as an opening act. Yes I saw both those combinations. Früt opened up for the J. Geils Band for their Love Stinks Tour and Toby Beau opened for Bob Seger on his Stranger In Town tour (a freaking kick ass show!!!) I still have my button and program from that show.
