Another nice radio broadcast from Shooting Star, this time promoting their III Wishes album. The album contained two radio hits in "Are You Ready" & "Heartache". Keyboard player Bill Guffey had departed but the rest of the original line-up would last until 1984 when bassist Ron Verlin departed. This broadcast has all the fan live favorites from "Are You On My Side" to a smoking version of "Last Chance". Download this one now if you are a fan because there isn't a lot of Shooting Star radio shows out there.

I got this from the old Hear Rock City site so thanks go out to them!

Formed originally as a 50's cover band called The Shooting Stars featuring The Galaxies, the band shortened it's name to Shooting Star and began shopping around for a record label. The band scored a record contract with the then small British label Virgin Records, after a showcase at CBGB's. The first album simply titled Shooting Star (1980) had 4 album radio hits in the songs "You Got What I Need", "Bring It On", "Tonight" and "Last Chance" a studio tour de force with guitar, keyboard & drum solos. The band followed that album up with Hang On For Your Life (1981), which included the radio hits "Hang On for Your Life", "Hollywood", "Breakout", and "Are You on My Side".
