I ripped the audio with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to edit some of the track marks. I tried to edit as much talk as possible from the actual music tracks. I also tried to smooth out some spots where the audio was a little hot, to the point of clipping. No EQ or noise reduction was used. The DVD had lossy audio so using Traders Little Helper, the waves were encoded to MP3 320kbps.
Ritchie and Candice live streamed these 2 shows from their home studio for their fans during the Covid-19 quarantine. Ritchie drinks beer and jokes while Candice interacts with the fans on line. They actually take requests from the live audience as well as pick songs themselves. Ritchie suggests Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are A Changin'" saying it's from his idol. That and "Fires At Midnight" are the only songs played both shows. The tracks titled "New Song" are songs from Blackmore's Night's up coming album that they did not announce the names of. "Vacuum And Dust" is a Covid-19 parody of the Joan Baez song "Diamonds And Rust". The idea came from a phone call with Whitesnake's David Coverdale. David commented that since the lockdown started all he's done is vacuum and dust.
This one is for aking who asked if I had any Blackmore's Night. As far as soundboard or Pro recordings was this DVD. I had not ripped it yet so I did this rip a few days ago. The rest of my Blackmore's Night recordings are audience recordings. I will have to review them to see if any are worthy of posting here, we are kind of picky.
