Dale Alexander drums & backing vocals
Skip Van Winkle electric organ & organ pedal bass (died Nov. 27, 2018 aged 74)
Robby Krrieger and his friends run through some of Robby's solo material as well as some Doors classics. I don't know how many Robby Krieger bootlegs there are but I haven't seen many. This recording does have some his to it, which seems to come from Robby's equipment some how. At the beginning of the show Robby says they have been experiencing technical difficulties. As for the performance, this is really good show that Doors fans should definitely have. I personally love the fact that "Skip" Van Winkle is playing keyboards for him. "Skip" Van Winkle was a member of the Michigan Rock duo, Teagarden & Van Winkle, that was responsible for the great hit song "God Love And Rock N' Roll". They also served as Bob Seger's band for the Smokin' O.P.s Tour, so Motor City Boy makes the big time backing Robby Krieger!

Notes with this version:
Radio broadcast live recordings of The Doors in concert at the Seattle Center Coliseum, June 5th,1970.
This uses the complete recording in correct running order.
"Light My Fire" is cut (duration 2:27) because recorder Vince Treanor's tape ended before the song was performed entirely.
"The End" was played at the end of the concert but not captured on tape, the power was cut and the house lights were turned on.
justdave's notes:
The flac files were full of sector boundary errors. I fixed those by decoding files and re-encoding them with Trader's Little Helper aligning all sector boundaries using fix. Also all the art and paper work says this is a broadcast but I'm not too sure about that...To me it sounds like an excellent audience recording or a stage recording. It was said by Doors producer Paul A. Rothchild that The Doors never took a PA on the road with them. They used the PA of the venue for vocals and their stage gear, that was it. This is even true of the dates recorded for The Doors Absolutely Live.

Did The Lizard King really die in that bathtub in Paris, or did he fake his own death to run off and live in Africa as a poet? There was always some kind of theory or story that supported that fact. There was an account of a hitchhiker in Rolling Stone magazine, that claimed he was picked up by Morrison and given a ride back to Morrison's hidden home where they indulged in women and drugs for days. The death of Jim Morrison will always be shrouded in mystery due to the fact no autopsy was performed. Also it's been said that when some one arrived in Paris to find out what happened, Jim was in a sealed casket and Pamela had a signed death certificate. The official ruling was Jim Morrison died of heart failure due to a heroin overdose July 3, 1971, he was 27. Ray Manzarek died from bile duct cancer May 20, 2013, he was 74.

The Doors continued on after the death of Jim Morrison for 2 more albums. Other Voices came out in 1971 and Full Circle came out in 1972. The band toured for both albums. This recording comes from the European Full Circle Tour. The band has been pretty good about managing the legacy of the Morrison lad era. All the studio lps have been remastered and re-released and restored to the way the Doors had intended them. For example "Break On Through" has the "..She Gets High.." verse intact. There have been many live releases as well. The 2 studio albums without Jim are available on CD, you have to look for them. But no live releases have come out commercially. So download this recording for a good soundboard quality performance from the final European our.
