Robby Krrieger and his friends run through some of Robby's solo material as well as some Doors classics. I don't know how many Robby Krieger bootlegs there are but I haven't seen many. This recording does have some his to it, which seems to come from Robby's equipment some how. At the beginning of the show Robby says they have been experiencing technical difficulties. As for the performance, this is really good show that Doors fans should definitely have. I personally love the fact that "Skip" Van Winkle is playing keyboards for him. "Skip" Van Winkle was a member of the Michigan Rock duo, Teagarden & Van Winkle, that was responsible for the great hit song "God Love And Rock N' Roll". They also served as Bob Seger's band for the Smokin' O.P.s Tour, so Motor City Boy makes the big time backing Robby Krieger!

  2. Hi Dave,
I lived in the LA area for over 20 years from the late 70s to the early 2000s and was very much a part of the music scene while there. I can't recall ever hearing of a Club M in Reseda. The concert venue associated with Reseda was Wolf & Rissmiller's Country Club aka The Country Club. I recorded Robin Trower there in the late 80s. For a point of reference you may recall, years ago I pointed out that a B-52s show from Boston '77 or '78 you had posted as the main act was actually the opening act for Talking Heads. You also learned that the B-52s show had been officially released and took it down. I hope all is well on your end and that your new baby hasn't destroyed the house yet :^)

    1. Thank you for the information Randy! You know you're most likely right when it comes to the location. I've known about the Country Club in Reseda since the 1980s when I got a bootleg of a Slayer show from there. You know what's funny I had a guy that worked for me that grew up in Los Angeles that had never heard of The Country Club in Reseda lol! I'll add the amended information to the post when I get a little more time. Thanks again for the info!!
      Dave
