The Modern Jazz Quartet a favorite of Rosebud's (I do love them too). She likes her Jazz to as she says "sound like they are all playing the same song". She loves The MJQ's combination of piano and vibes, the fact you can "chill to it with a glass of wine" but it will not put you to sleep. I love her way of explaining what she likes. No knowledge of music theory just the pure enjoyment of the music itself and how it moves her. There are a lot of us, and I do include myself here, who have studied music music in depth that sometimes forget to just let it move us and enjoy the music...Enjoy your Sunday Morning Jazz!

This is our first ever Jazz On Sunday post picked by Rosebud. Rosebud usually picks Heavy Metal or Hard Rock bands with the occasional off pick here or there. She's usually note much of a Jazz fan. When I was previewing this recording for posting Rosebud spoke up saying "I really like this one, they've played some pretty melodies. This is the kind of Jazz I like, not the kind that sounds like nobody on stage is playing the same song (lmao). She then said that I should post this one on the site. I told her that was a great idea, I hadn't thought of that.

All the members of The Modern Jazz Quartet have passed on. We who never saw this Legendary Quartet live are lucky we have shows like this to listen to. The recording was shared on The Traders Den torrent tracker by julsay. However julsay did not know the track listing. Luckily PBuzby another Traders Den member, was able to supply that for us. This one, I can guarantee that any Jazz lover or novice collector will love this recording.
