Run out Groove on Side 1 was just 1cm wide I believe this is why the KM was in script rather than stamped.

Known Faults:
- Westwood One packs over 50 minutes of music and commercials on 2 sides of vinyl making for groove crowding.
- This show on Side 1 was very tight with a runout groove about a centimeter wide at most making those grooves packed very tightly together.
- Groove crowding can cause needle damage to the vinyl causing more pops, snaps & needle noise or rumble.
- The crowd applause on Live From Gilley's recordings can sound like pops and crackles sometimes.
Recording Notes:
- There was no show promo on the record, it seems to be that by 1987 they quit including them and Jim Duncan would just tell you at the end of the program who was coming the next week.
- This show though called Live From Gilley's was recorded at The Crazy Horse Saloon & Steak House, Santa Ana, California. Because of this Jim Duncan introduces the show as Westwood One Presents.
- The only date I find for Exile at The Crazy Horse Saloon in Santa Ana California is March 22, 1988 which is too late.. However Google's AI search said that Exile played 3 nights at The Crazy Horse June 3-5, 1985. I found an ad for Ray Charles June 3 & 4, 1985 at The Crazy Horse so I don't think that is right.
- Ray Charles actually played at The Crazy Horse Saloon 14 times.
Editing Notes:
- A Zerostat Positive Ion gun was used on LP prior to playback.
- A carbon fiber record brush, then a microfiber disc cleaner was used on the record prior to playback.
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.
- LP cleaned with the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaning System prior to playback.
- Raw transfer: EQ off, treble and bass levels set at +/- zero for most accurate sound of LP.
- Turntable balanced: Needle Tracking, Azimuth Set: Needle Pressure Digitally Dialed In:
- Soundcard stereo field maximized
- Goldwave always set to record while filtering any offset.
- Recording and all editing done in 24bit/96khz.
- Preservation being key the show is encoded complete with commercials and voiceovers.
- Declicked manually and some noise reduction used depending on what best served situation.
- A high pass filter with an initial cut off of 50hz and static steepness of 2 was used to ease rumble caused by the tight grooves on the album.
Other Notes:
- "Take Me Down" and "The Closer You Get" were written and recorded by Exile. The songs were later covered and made hits by Alabama. Exile recorded and released the songs on their 1980 album Don't Leave Me This Way which was rereleased in 1990 as Keeping It Country with no changes except to the album art.
- Another song written by Exile that became a hit for someone else is "Just In Case" which became a #1 Hit for The Forester Sisters. Exile recorded and released the song on their 1984 album Kentucky Hearts. The Forester Sisters recorded and released the song on their 1985 album The Forester Sisters.
- Exile started out as a Soft Rock Band and had a huge hit with the song "Kiss You All Over". After having no more Top 40 Hits the band re-branded themselves as a Country band or a Souther Rock Band. They actually never changed their sound just who they advertised to. They have always had a bit of Southern in their music in the style of Atlanta Rhythm Section. After re-branding Exile has enjoyed a very long career.
- Exile was on tour for there 1985 release Hang On To Your Heart which debut on Billboards Country Chart at #62 on September 21, 1985. It peaked at #2 on January 1, 1986 from https://www.billboard.com/artist/exile/chart-history/clp/
