- I have to say thank you to Sam Elliot's Mustache because this comes to us from his ever growing collection of Pre-FM recordings.

Recording Notes:
- There is a locked groove "Ovu" Test Tone at the beginning of Side A for DJs to set levels before broadcasting of program. It has been encoded and moved to it's own folder so as not to be accidentily played.
- There are 2 locked groove Music Promo Beds at the end of Side B, they have been encoded and moved to the end of the program.

Editing Notes:
- A Zerostat Positive Ion gun was used on LPs prior to playback.
- A carbon fiber record brush, then a microfiber disc cleaner was used on the records prior to playback.
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.
- LP cleaned with the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaning System using distilled water prior to playback.
- Raw transfer: EQ off, treble and bass levels set at +/- zero for most accurate sound of LP.
- Turntable & tone arm balanced: Needle Tracking & Azimuth set: Needle Pressure & Antiskid digitally set:
- Computer Soundcard stereo field maximized.
- Goldwave set to record while filtering any DC Offset.
- Recording and all editing done in 24bit/96khz.
- Preservation being key the show is encoded complete with commercials and voiceovers.
- Declicked manually and some noise reduction used depending on what best served the situation.
- Raised the volume of the commercials to match that of the music and voice overs.
- A rumble filter with an initial cut off of 50khz and a static steepness of 2 was used to lessen the needle noise on the commercials due to having to raise the volume to match that of the music and voice overs.

Other Notes:
- I always wondered what happened to Robyn Robins after he left The Silver Bullet Band. He spent 1982 through 1983 playing keyboards for the Henry Small led PRiSM during their tour to promote the album Small Change.
- I found a date April 25, 1982 for the show from the Kalamazoo Public Library website at https://www.kpl.gov/local-history/kalamazoo-history/arts-entertainment/loverboy-at-wings-stadium-4-25-1982/ which says both Loverboy and PRiSM were recorded for King Bicuit Flower Hour, tickets were $10.00 US and it was a sellout at 7200 persons in attendance. PRiSM was the opening act for Loverboy. It gives an initial date of May 23, 1982 airing for PRiSM on King Biscuit and a full setlist of Young and Restless, Heart and Soul, He’s In The Jailhouse Now, Rain, When Will I See You Again, Hole In Paradise, Don’t Let Him Know, Encore: Long Tall Sally. There is also a page just for dates of concerts at Wings Stadium https://www.kpl.gov/local-history/kalamazoo-history/arts-entertainment/wings-stadium/
- Looking through the Ian Hunter Track finder at https://www.hunter-mott.com/discography/index_tracks_ih.html this recording could be from Dr. Pepper Music Festival, Pier 84, New York NY September 11, 1981 or The Rick Derringer Benefit The Palladium, New York NY September 13, 1981 both shows were licensed by King Biscuit Flower Hour for broadcast.
- Bill Minkin only says Ian Hunter was recorded in New York City. I do believe it's from the Dr. Pepper Fest but I am not certain so just the year 1981 was used to date it.

- The first broadcast of Aldo Nova's set also had the song "Heart To Heart"
- Prism was on tour to promote their 5th studio album Small Change their best commercial success.
- This show Prism opened for Loverboy. Both bands were recorded that day for King Biscuit Flower Hour.
- The Prism portion of this show was broadcast before as Prism / Ian Hunter King Biscuit Flower Hour KB 420 broadcast May 23, 1982. Prism's complete set from Wings Stadium including the encore was broadcast.
- Small Change spawned 2 singles. "Don't Let Him Know" which hit #1 on US Billboard Mainstream Tracks. "Turn On Your Radar" was the follow up single peaking only at #64.
- Famous early members of Prism are: Early Drummer Jim Vallance went on to write many hit songs with Bryan Adams. Early Sax Player Bruce Fairbairn went on to become a successful producer who worked with such bands as Aerosmith, Kiss, and Bon Jovi. He also played trumpet on the Aerosmith's Permanent Vacation as part of The Marguerita Horns. Rhythm guitarist/bassist Tom Lavin also produced albums by Powder Blues, and April Wine.
