I can not tell you how much every single one of you needs this show in your collection! Look at the list of performers above! Wow! All to pay tribute to Roy Orbison and raise money for the homeless in America. The sound is really good on this one, everything seems to come through pretty good. As with a lot of audience recordings the louder you play it, the more you hear! That's said a lot about audience recordings but when they are recorded right it's true.

To have Roger McGuinn, David Crosby and Chris Hillman reunite as The Byrds with special guest Bob Dylan is worth the download. B.B. King jamming "The Thrill Is Gone" with Al Kooper! Bonus! John Lee Hooker and Bonnie Raitt together on "I'm In The Mood". I could go on but I should not have to....

I really enjoyed listening to this collection. It's a lot of  great music packed into one sweet little package. I keep coming back to the memory that the guy who turned me on to Tom Petty also turned me on to Devo, Black Flag and The Meatmen. Looking at it with an older mind it actually shouldn't really of surprised me actually. The Punk Rock movement was brought about by music fans that felt Rock music had gotten too bloated and self-indulgent. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers music was anything but bloated and self indulgent. The wrote great Rock songs with great stories in the lyrics. No tours with a 100 piece orchestra and Benmont Tench wasn't surrounded by 60 synthesizers. The same reason their music made some of their influences want to record and tour with them. Bob Dylan, George Harrison, to name a couple. Plain and simple Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers were dA Damn Good Rock & Roll Band. Hope you enjoy this collection!!

Now this was a find that I really enjoyed. Chris Hillman of The Byrds fame with The Chris Hillman Band. After the break up of The Byrds, Chris Hillman went on to record some of the best Country Muisc to never come out of Nashville.You won't hear Chris Hillman, Gram Parsons, The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Desert Rose Band or any combination there of on Country Music radio. You will however hear their influence in any number of Modern Country Music artists from Garth Brooks on down.

David Allen Coe actually name checks Roger McGuinn and The Flying Burrito Brothers in a song that speaks to the influence that they had on him, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and the Outlaw Country movement. However the rest of Country Music won't admit that a bunch of Pot Smoking Hippie Folk Rockers were such a huge influence on their sound.

Okay what do I say about this great little package....first I don't remember where I obtained it. Secondly with all the famous projects each of these 4 musicians have worked in together and apart. You know what this is going to be. Especially if I say, Acoustic Guitars, members of The Byrds, The Burritos & the Desert Rose Band etc..you can imagine the sound. As one of them says between songs "..Acoustic Music can be fun!"

This is a nice collection of both sets Flyte played while opening for Emmylou Harris. I don't know if Emmylou played acoustic.. I don't think I have a recording of her sets. I looked through the drives I have plugged in right now, none was found. Flyte really seems to enjoy playing together but this particular band didn't last long. It's a small chapter in a much longer musical story so enjoy!!
