Now this was a find that I really enjoyed. Chris Hillman of The Byrds fame with The Chris Hillman Band. After the break up of The Byrds, Chris Hillman went on to record some of the best Country Muisc to never come out of Nashville. You won't hear Chris Hillman, Gram Parsons, The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Desert Rose Band or any combination there of on Country Music radio. You will however hear their influence in any number of Modern Country Music artists from Garth Brooks on down.

David Allen Coe actually name checks Roger McGuinn and The Flying Burrito Brothers in a song that speaks to the influence that they had on him, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and the Outlaw Country movement. However the rest of Country Music won't admit that a bunch of Pot Smoking Hippie Folk Rockers were such a huge influence on their sound.
