This performance from Post-Rock/Metal band Baroness comes after the band took almost a year off the road. Not to relax mind you, but to recover from a very bad bus accident in England. Bassist Matt Maggioni and drummer Allen Blickle suffered fractured vertebrae, guitarist/vocalist John Baizley suffered a broken leg & arm, while guitarist Pete Adams suffered minor injuries. Both Maggioni & Blickle left Baroness before touring resumed. During the included interview the band talks about the crash and how it changed their perspective on life.

Savanna Georgia metal outfit Baroness combine Post-Hardcore, Sludge/Stoner Metal, and Progressive Metal to come up with their particular sound. Fans of such bands as Neurosis, Mastodon, and Kylesa will enjoy these guys. This nice sounding recording comes from the final day of the bands tour for debut full length Red Album. That also means that this is guitarist Allen Blickle's final gig with the band. Formal announcement of his departure would be September 20, 2008. Red Album was named Album Of The Year in 2007 by Heavy Metal magazine Revolver. It placed in the Top Ten of most metal magazines Fan and Critic Lists of the same year.
