This is the second in what will be a series of posts I will be making to spotlight the Motor City Music Scene. This show was originally offered in 24 bot only but I am also posting a 16 bit option. 24 bit is suitable for burning an audio DVD while the 16 bit is best for a CD.
Although they first started jamming together in Tulsa Oklahoma U.S.A, Teegarden & Van Winkle didn't take off commercially till they migrated to Detroit Michigan. The duo was formed out of necessity when Rockabilly singer Gene Crose, who they were backing, didn't show up for a gig. After relocating to Michigan, the Detroit Rock Scene accepted them with open arms. Bob Seger used the duo as his backing band for the Smokin O.P's album and tour. The song "We Believe In God, Love, & Rock and Roll" became a regional hit before breaking into the National Top Ten. The band released several albums including one recorded while under the influence of hypnotherapy.
