Editing Notes:
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.
- LP cleaned with the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaning System prior to playback.
- A Zerostat Positive Ion gun was used on LP prior to playback.
- Raw transfer: EQ off, treble and bass levels set at +/- zero for most accurate sound of LP.
- Preservation being key the show is encoded complete with commercials, and voiceovers.
- All editing done in 24bit/96khz
- Declicked manualy and some noise reduction used depending on what best served the situation.
- A 60k high pass filter was run to reduce some needle noise
About The Show:
- The host never identifies himself during the program, it doesn't happen often.
- The Twisted Sister portion of the show is the famous MTV Concert from The Orange Pavlion, San Bernadino California, May 19, 1984.
- Twisted Sister included a free DVD of The MTV Concert in full with the Double CD 25th Anniversary Edition of Stay Hungry. The DVD was only available at Independent Record Stores. The DVD was given away for free to anyone who bought the 25th Anniversary Stay Hungry Double CD.
- The Stevie Ray Vaughan portion of the show had a bit of a mystery about it's date. It has been bootlegged a lot with the wrong date and location.
- Commonly dated as The Country Club, Reseda, California October 26, 1983, because Westwood One's host says that is the location. This fact however is wrong. Stevie Ray Vaughan was on the East Coast of America opening for The Moody Blues at that time.
- Westwood One, King Biscuit and the rest do make mistakes when it comes to the date and location of shows
- Newspaper articles found by Draftervoi and contained in the News Coverage folder, show the concert took place at The Hollywood Palace, Hollywood, California, August 22, 1983.
- The cue sheet track listing for Stevie Ray Vaughan is so wrong, it is almost laughable.
Other Notes:
- This was one of the most expensive Pre-FM record sets I have purchased to date. I thought this was due to Stevie Ray Vaughan being one of the artists. Actually it's due to the inclusion of Twisted Sister. Not a lot of Heavy Metal were on the original Westwood One programs. This makes them more "valuable" to collectors so more expensive when sold. Stevie Ray Vaughan may have played a small role in the price of the show, Twisted Sister were the main cause.
