Known Faults: Several passages of pre-recorded introductions and commercially released music are removed.

I can not tell you how much every single one of you needs this show in your collection! Look at the list of performers above! Wow! All to pay tribute to Roy Orbison and raise money for the homeless in America. The sound is really good on this one, everything seems to come through pretty good. As with a lot of audience recordings the louder you play it, the more you hear! That's said a lot about audience recordings but when they are recorded right it's true.

To have Roger McGuinn, David Crosby and Chris Hillman reunite as The Byrds with special guest Bob Dylan is worth the download. B.B. King jamming "The Thrill Is Gone" with Al Kooper! Bonus! John Lee Hooker and Bonnie Raitt together on "I'm In The Mood". I could go on but I should not have to....

  2. Does anyone have any idea of what Mr. Millard did for money? I know he lived at home, but still...

  3. I'm honestly not a fan of Roy but completely understand his place in rock history; I have the same feeling with Elvis. But that said, you're correct regarding all of the great performers coming together to honor the legend. Thanks much!

    1. My Mom was a big Roy Orbison & Elvis Presley fan when I was a little kid so I heard their music all the time. With Roy Orbison it was certain songs I liked but I became a major Elvis fan. I was in the fan club and on one of my birthdays my Mom bought me a copy of Elvis' Separate Ways album from the fan club. Inside the shrink wrap were 2 autographed birthday cards signed "To David Happy Birthday Elvis". They were printed on of course but still pretty cool when your an elementary school kid. Wish I still had them but alas they are with all the lost socks. I do still have a copy of every tabloid that could be found with the headline "Elvis Is Dead" including the Enquire that had on the cover a photo of Elvis in his coffin. Very controversial and was pulled from a lot of stores shelves. I'll be hanging them up in my basement music room when it's finished. Now the show each artist kind of puts their own stamp on the songs so you might enjoy some of the performances.
