George says that this is the first time that he and the Destroyers worked in Cleveland. Not sure if that's true or not but I do know that this is a bad ass recording of George Thorogood & The Destroyers kicking some Rock & Roll Boogie Woogie Blues booty! George's second album Move It On Over had only been out a couple months but "Move It On Over", "Who Do You Love?", & "It Wasn't Me" were all over the FM Radio dial.

Thanks for the classic Thorogood

You're welcome Joe, this one really takes me back.. I had a 1972 Nova SS with an 8-track player in it and the Move It On Over tape was played a lot while cruising through the neighborhood.

Wow! Never knew this was out there.
ReplyDeletePlaying the Agora after just his second album, looks like Thorogood clicked pretty quick in Cleveland.
Anyway, thanks for sharing. Very eager to hear it.
Hope you enjoy it, I remember Move It On Over really clicked with the Michigan, Ohio area he played some nice size venues here in Detroit around that time too.
