For our next Women Who Rock post we have another kick ass FM broadcast from Concrete Blonde. Johnette Napolitano can Rock with the best of them. A nice choice of cover tracks are thrown into the mix, The Who's "Bargain", Agent Orange's "Bloodstains", Jimi Hendrix's "Castles Made Of Sand" (KILLER!! I might add) and Thin Lizzy's "It's Only Money".

  3. a criminally underrated band. A fave memory is a show in Columbia MO with JN yelling at the frat boys to stop crowd surfing and disrupting the show.

    1. I got into Concrete Blonde through this stripper I hung out with back in my musician days in Detroit. She used to dance to stuff by Concrete Blonde, D'molls, Mother Love Bone, Celtic Frost, Candlemass and lots of other not really known as stripper music. She used the name Mistress Cruela. I have however never seen Concrete Blonde live.

    1. I was seeing a stripper during my days in the band and she turned me on to Concrete Blonde. They are a kind of Gothic Alternative Rock group with a bit of a vampire fetish. Great music for a dark rainy night
