During the long interview Marcus Miller says that the guys only had 3 days to rehearse and on the first day they didn't play 1 note. They just talked about their memories of Miles and what he meant to them personally.
This is a great sounding recording of an awesome performance. If your a fan of Mile Davis' music, or a fan of any of the gentlemen who make up this group, or just awesome Jazz music, download this show now!!
Hancock, Shorter & Miller are Living Legends in Jazz, all of which are known for awe inspiring shows. Their debt to Miles Davis is readily recognizable in their musical efforts. That debt is also recognized by the men themselves who will admit it at a drop of a hat. This is a fabulous tribute to a Jazz Pioneer so don't miss out on this one.

Hi Dave and James. If you'd like a FLAC upgrade of this gig and the back cover too, just ask in the comments over at http://floppybootstomp-ii.blogspot.com/2015/04/stanley-clarke-marcus-miller-victor.html. I've now sent over the two MM 2008s, so up there soon.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Dave Sez.
My bad - no need to leave comments over at floppy, the FLAC upgrade is still live (two non-problematic FileFactory links) thanks to Asso (the mighty TUBE) at http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f145/marcus-miller-wayne-shorter-herbie-hancock-2011-07-15-juanlespins-fr-fm-flac-127303.html.
