When it was announced in 2011 that John Garcia, Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveri were to tour as Kyuss Lives!, Stoner Rock/Metal fans everywhere lit up in celebration. Kyuss had broken up in 1995, leaving a gaping hole in a genre they helped to pioneer. All the members had moved on to different projects to varying degrees of success. When Kyuss Lives! was announced John Garcia made clear that the band would not be called Kyuss without the participation of Josh Homme. Homme had been very successful with Queens Of The Stone Age so he wanted nothing to do with Kyuss Lives!. After the reunion tour it was announced that Kyuss Lives! were going to release a live recording from the tour as well as write a new album. Josh Homme brought suit against Kyuss Lives! for trademark infringement and consumer fraud. The resulting court order stated that Kyuss Lives! could continue to play live dates under that moniker but could not released the live album or the planned studio album under the name Kyuss Lives! Kyuss Lives! has changed their name to Vista Chino, their debut album Peace is available on Napalm Records.
