A great soundboard recording from Paul's set during the UDO Festival. Paul's website announced in 2006 that a DVD of his set was coming soon. To date it still hasn't been released. A few bootleg DVDs have though, and this recording comes from one. What a set, the band sounds tight and Paul is in fine voice. Nils Lofgren adds some tasty acoustic leads to "Simple Man", as well as some great leads and slide guitar to the rest of the set. Paul has been called The Voice Of Rock, I have also heard this term used for Glen Hughes, I can understand the title for both!
While researching this show I learned something about Paul Rodgers that has me respecting the man more than ever. Paul has been giving random fans in the audience $100 dollar bills with a note stating that the receiver should perform one act of random kindness in return. The program is called Paul's Prizes and Random Acts of Kindness. Follow the link below to read more about it and testimonials from fans.
