This is a 16 bit version of a 24 bit that was being hosted by Hans Devente on his blog. The 24 bit version was a total of 3gig so I decoded the files and used GoldWave v.5.04 to turn the files into 16 bit then encoded them to flac level 8 using Traders Little Helper aligning all sector boundaries.

This is a great sounding recording that should be a welcome addition to any Talking Heads fan's collection.

The beginning of the DVD starts without sound so I edited the first track for a smoother playback. I slightly remastered the audio. The right channel had significantly quieter volume so I adjusted it to match the left. I brought out the high end a little more as well. Boz let's his back up singer take the lead vocal on "I Thank You/Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" a mash up of the tunes made famous by Sam & Dave and Sly & The Family Stone.

Hailing from Norrköping, Sweden and taking there name from the patron deity of Babylon, Marduk was formed in 1991, to be the most blasphemous band in the world. Through their many years of line-up changes founding member Morgan "Evil" Steinmeyer Håkansson has been the only constant. Marduk started off as a Blackened Death Metal band but quickly evolved into a True Black Metal band. This is a dry soundboard recording with some sound levels being higher than others but very listenable to any fan of Trve/Cvlt Black Metal. This recording comes in support of the bands 5th studio full length Nightwing.

Our first appearance at The New JDP from Southern Rockers Cry Of Love is a nice FM broadcast recording to promote the bands debut album, Brother. Brother was a success in that it spawned 3 Top 20 singles. First single "Bad Thing" hit #2 on The Mainstream Rock Chart, second single "Peace Pipe" hit #1, while third single "Too Cold in the Winter" hit #13. The bands success was cut short by the firing of singer Kelly Holland in 1994 after the bands Monsters Of Rock performance. The press release however stated that Kelly had left the band. Kelly Holland died at the age of 52 from a severe abdominal infection February 24, 2014.

The info that came with this boot was that it was a rebroadcast of the 1970 Paris Theatre performance premiering songs from John Barleycorn Must Die. I have not compared this show with a different copy I have of the Paris Theatre 1970 gig so I can't be sure. At any rate this is a great sounding performance and recording. Chris Wood passed away July 12, 1983 of pneumonia at the age of 39. Jim Capaldi passed away January 28, 2005 at the age of 60 from stomach cancer.

Draftervoi's original notes:
The run-out groove writing etched into the vinyl says "NBC-DK-16A" and "NBC-DK-16B."
Note that the EBAY listing identified this record as Show #15 but the vinyl etching says it's Show #16.
While the Ebay listing said it had a cue sheet, it wasn't included...and for a $6.00 record, I wasn't going to complain.

Original EBAY listing had this information on it:

COUNTRY SESSIONS RADIO SHOW LP #15 DOUG KERSHAW | | | | Description "COUNTRY SESSIONS" NBC RADIO SHOW. Show #15. Featuring Doug Kershaw. Air Date: June 28, 1981. NBC Radio Network stereo 12" LP record album with original printed playlist sheets. Comes in generic white cover with radio station writing with the title, artist, show number, and track listings. Condition: Record grades VG+. Comments: "Country Sessions" was a syndicated weekly radio show that was broadcast from 1981-1983. It was produced by the NBC Radio Network. For a total of 136 weeks, each 50 minute show featured a different country music artist or group in live performance. The program was hosted by Morrie Trumble.

justdave's notes:
I removed all the interview snippets in between songs and added cross fades where needed.

Nice sounding recording from The Zac Brown Band during the tour to promote their third album Uncaged. The Zac Brown Band has been very successful having earned 55 award nominations and have won 8, including 2010's Best New Artist Grammy, usually a kiss of death award. Most groups/artists who win the Best New Artist Grammy fade away within a year of winning the award. The Zac Brown Band has hit the Billboard Country Music Chart 10 times with 8 of those singles going to #1. All 3 of their studio albums have been certified Platinum Records with their debut, The Foundation, being certified Triple Platinum. If your new to the Zac Brown Band I highly recommend this fine sounding recording to all fans of Country Music and Southern Rock everywhere.

Draftervoi's Original Notes:
The Blondie Supergroups show was probably the seventh show in the Supergroups concert series, and may have been the last to use the premium presentation format of a box, cue sheets on heavy weight paper, and plastic-line disc sleeves.  The show's production credits added G.K. Productions, who aren't on the prior Cars show.  The Cars show was broadcast in October or November of '79, so there's a five month gap between it and the Blondie show...perhaps winter was a bad time for radio advertising.

Chicago OCC 101 - broadcast date of May 12, 1979
Foreigner CC 201 or 203 (unconfirmed number....)
Moody Blues SGC 101
Allman Brothers SGC 102
Peter Frampton SGC 103
The Cars SGC 104
Blondie SGC 105 - broadcast date of March 22, 1980
Cheap Trick SGC 106
Journey SGC 107
Alice Cooper SGC 108.

The earliest of these shows were distributed in boxes, with similar cover designs. The background of each box was a solid color covered in a pattern of dots, with the artist's name on the front and the show credits on the back. The cue sheets were printed on premium paper, and the discs housed in plastic-lined disc sleeves. Occasionally they "themed" the color of the box: The Moody Blues box is blue, and Blondie is yellow.

This version was digitized from the original syndicated radio discs and declicked in Audacity in October 2014.  Included are 300 dpi scans of the front cover, a disc label, and all four pages of the cue sheet. Flac files of wavs. The only thing I edited out was the 700 Hz test tone.
