There are a few bootlegs out that feature this show. There are from what I have seen 2 Pre-FM versions of this show. A Pre-FM vinyl version and this version from a Pre-FM Reel. From what I understand the uploader of this Pre-FM Reel version is not even a Rush fan. The concert recording was featured as filler on a DAT from a trade. Thankfully the uploader new what he had would make Rush fans very happy so he uploaded it to the net. This seems to be a raw transfer of the recording, no crossfades were done so a couple transitions are a little rough but all the music is a fantastic listen! And I get a live Pre-FM quality recording of my favorite Rush tune "Natural Science"!

    1. You're welcome mikeL! My first Rush was the Hemispheres show in Detroit. The Permanent Waves show in Detroit was my second. I would say the Permanent Waves show was my first as a real Rush fan. Something about the Permanent Waves album. It's my favorite Rush album to this day. This particular source only turned up at The Trader's Den this November not sure if it was at any other tracker before that, it's a great one to have.

  2. yea, i have a similar fondness for permanent waves. a pretty perfect album, they'd found a sweet spot between their epics and the writing of memorable songs. 44+ years on the material still sounds timeless to my ears.
