This WMMS Broadcast Master recording is not really rare either but it is the lesser posted of the 1978 tour. I really love this show because it was a simulcast so it's warts and all. It's also a complete concert, some FM broadcasts are edited prerecorded affairs. The best performances picked and bad ones left out all that crap. As for the performance, these guys don't sound like a band that will be going it's separate ways after the tour.

  1. Nice observations about the most-glorious edition of Yes. God I'd love to see them again...

    1. Okay mikeL you have to stop that LOL just kidding. When I red in Rolling Stone that the guys from Buggles would be replacing Jon & Rick I cancelled my plans to see the show. I had not heard the album just knew I hated Video Killed The Radio Star. I do like the Drama album though. I have a few bootlegs from the Drama tour. I haven't listened to them more than once, none of any real quality have surfaced.

  3. yea i specifically remember the tour being promoted as 'yes in the round' as a sort of mis-direction. i did really love the drama album. a step up from tormato imo. machine messiah was HEAVY and tempus fugit a yes classic.
*fwiw those were the only two big-name after parties i attended, so you won't be hearing of more of those here ;0]
there's a millard recording that's up to par...and i think a boston recording from ballrog that's excellent as well... and one from a southern city as well, all at yesshows...more info later.

    1. I'll have to check those recordings out. I've been downloading the archive at Forgotten Yesterdays. I've been doing them in order, I just finished downloading the 90125 Tour. I'm looking forward to the Union Tour downloads but keeping to the plan of in the album order. I saw the Union tour at The Palace about 4 rows back from the stage. I thought that was one of the biggest gifts a band could give their fans bringing together on one stage all the members of note for a whole tour not just one show then release a live album or DVD (Led Zeppelin I'm looking at you)
