Grace Slick is one of Rosebud's favorite singers. This comes from her recently expanded collection. Like i said in an earlier post The Trader's Den is closing. I have a fairly good share ratio which I am using up downloading as much as I can before October 19. They need someone that can help write code and update the site on a more modern platform. Sucks but I'm not a coder if it wasn't for the ease of blogger's dashboard we wouldn't be here.

Back to this show. It's nice sounding recording for it's age and only a 1st Generation tape, makes me want to hear the master. Hope you enjoy it!

  1. speedymjb has this show with different artwork that claims to be soundboard master to DAT with no intermediate cassette. Of course then converted to mp3. D/L Link there needs to be updated, though.

I have not listed to both, so can't compare.

  2. It very well be right, I have seen so many recordings that you will find encodings from 1st 2nd 3rd Generation Cassettes then you'll find a DAT Master of it. I have a lot of them like that. I have seen some of my own recordings being shared else where with a different lineage. My masters released on the net have been traded as tapes as well so the lineage on Speedy's site may be correct for that show. Listen and compare let me know...

  3. Can't do an audiophile comparison (moved and new house has a 60Hz hum on the computer audio I haven't been able to get rid of) but will say right out the box that the gain on the version at speedy's is higher. The track edits are also different, for the most part shifting crowd, stage talk, and instrument noodling from the beginning of a track to the end of the previous one. I prefer speedy's for the gain, as everything is just easier to hear.
