Just like the Tool and Red Hot Chili Peppers posts This is a Before The Fame Post...U2 were just becoming known to the world when this show was recorded. I personally don't remember U2 on MTV until War was released and the "New Years Day" video came out. At any rate the band was not known that well. When I went to buy Boy at my local record store the guy behind the desk had no idea who I was talking about. Because of high energy kick ass performances like this one would soon have the world a buzz. U2 would not only conquer arenas they filled football stadiums around the world. To me it seemed like they went from Detroit's Harpo's Concert Theater to The Pontiac Silver Dome Football Arena over night. Deservedly so too!!!

Original Upload Comments:
* "The Ocean" was played twice (you can hear a very small snippet of this at the end of the second "11 0' Clock Tick Tock"), this was unfortunately left out of the broadcast
* DJ starts talking very quickly at the end of "Out of Control"

Included in this download is a soundboard recording of the bands soundcheck. It was hosted in MP3 224kbps on the drive and is included in it's own folder as a bonus to all.
