Pretty nice sounding recording from Neil's 2002 appearance at Rock Am Ring Festival. It can be a little "thin" sounding. It almost sounds like an excellent audience recording instead of an FM broadcast. That being said this is a must have show for Neil Young fans!! It's a great set with a 27 minute performance of "Down By The River". I actually replayed just that song 5 times yesterday!! You also have a great cover of Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower" (a fabulous version)! This is 2 hours of Neil at his best and just look at the line-up of musicians. The Legendary Booker T. Jones, Donald "Duck" Dunn, & Steve "Smokey" Potts of Booker T. & The MG's. Rounding out the line-up The Mighty Frank Sampedro of Crazy Horse. This adds up to over 2 hours of musical greatness!!!

Thanks for taking this one out of the dusted shelf. I'll let you know when I'll play Down by The River six times in a row. Let's try to have that song on the Guiness Book of Records. Just joking.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Paris,
I was waiting to see if this service worked in France before making a commitment to it. So far it seems to work for everyone and hasn't set off bloggers alarms yet so it looks like we are going with Filekeeper for now. Oh I just listened to the whole show again...pretty good stuff...enjoy!

This concert I have for a long time now. I checked the downloading service yesterday and all was Ok at second time. First time, I pushed the wrong download button and got a strange file I immediately deleted. And again, very nice concert, a lot of energy. My favourite song is Going Home with its extensive guitar solos. Great song.
ReplyDeleteThanks again with greetings from sunshiny Paris
You ae very welcome my friend, glad it works in Paris!!
